Inevitability.
I remember that word from The Matrix. Agent Smith had Neo in a headlock and a train was coming.
Well, it's not quite the same here! Nobody has got me in a headlock and there's no train coming. But in other ways, there's a lot of comparison.
I've been stuck in the "Matrix". I've heard many rumours about another "world". A world where you can work for yourself, doing something that you enjoy, working on your time and get rewarded for it. No longer tied down by the shackles of another's goals, but striving towards your own.
I was introduced to Wealthy Affiliate by some who had themselves enter this new world and found answers and success. So I was intrigued and went to find out more...
I found that everything that I had heard appeared to be true. It looked right. It felt right. And then came the decision:
Do I take the red pill or the blue pill?
Suddenly various questions, doubts, trepidations, fears and manner of mental phenomena bombarded my mind. Would it work? Do I have what it takes? Is it a scam? Will I be able to see it through? Have I had the wool pulled over my eyes? I am not just destined to work for somebody else and live a life of mediocre drudgery?
This has happened before. Many times. With different opportunities that I've tried and each time I took the blue pill. And where did that lead me? To Wonderland? No. Back into the Matrix. Back into the headlock of the corporate Agent Smiths, threatened to death by the oncoming "inevitability".
Well, as all of us know who have watched The Matrix, Neo did NOT go down that track. And niether am I!
