hHello.
There are many reasons why your site response time can be crap.
I suggest you run your site through this simulator.
It will throw up lots of tips and advice when/if it finds anything wrong.

If your text editor is working but your visual editor is not, you probably need to clear out all of your cookies and caches. That's what has worked for me, and I have had the same problem 3 times now.

Hi everyone, I recently changed my theme to Tempera. While I'm uploading images for the slider, It's not fitting in properly. Its getting extreme zoomed in and image quality i
Hello Demi.
I too am using Tempera for a site I am creating. I have been to your site and I noticed that when I switch from page to page the response time seems slow. I too have this same issue with the site I am creating.
I am wondering if this is a Theme issue, or an IE issue.
I have left a message with cryoutcreations BUT I was wondering if you feel as though the response is slower then normal when you switch from pare to page on you site
Just curios as I have other sites using other themes that do not seem slow at all
Any advice would be great
Scott
Hi Scott,
You can change the Animation time and pause time at Wordpress Dashboard->Appearance->Tempera setting->Slider Setting.
Currently I am using 750 and 5000 miliseconds for Animation time and pause time respectively. Hence you may see about 5 seconds delay in slide transition.
You can reduce these numbers to see faster switch between images.
Let me know in case you need any further information.

Thanks for the reply, however the issue is not with the slider
I have created a video and posted it on YouTube

If you could take a look and see the issue I am having with the "Flicker"
I have started creating a new site using the Tempera theme. . However I have discovered two tiny issues, (I HOPE) you may be able to help me with:
Issue 1: When I switch between menu option/pages, my text seems to flicker, change font, and quickly return to normal.
Issue 2: When I switch between menu option/pages, the Menu Item “boxes” seem to quickly change size and then return to normal.
Also if anyone else see this reply please feel free to chime in
Your advice and assistance will be appreciated.
Thanks
Scott
Hi Scott, I just saw your youtube video and then went to your site. I don't see any flickering. I am using firefox and chrome browser on a MAC OSX. Not sure if tempera is not compatible with internet explorer.
Can you try with different browser and check if you see flickering?
On the other note, I checked my site and i did notice slight page shift (No font change or flickering) after page load. Then I noticed that when page loads initially, it doesn't have a scroll bar on the right. But within mili-seconds scroll bar appears pushing the page content slightly to left. This looks ok to me.
Thanks,
Demi
Hi Demi, I don't use this particular theme but I have a couple of sites with sliders and you'll probably need to resize all of your images to align with the optimal size and resolution. I use MS paint to do this. I found the information for best image size in my theme's instructions, a link via theme options. I had a look online and it seems the default image size for your theme is 1150 x 400 px.
Hope that helps!

Hi Claire, thank you for your response. I did resize the image in iPhoto after doing some research and still its getting maximized after uploading it! I must keep trying though I guess!
Hi Demi, I looked at your site via Chrome as Gregory did too and it looks fine. Same for IE. However, I checked it out on my phone earlier and the quality is also OK, but the image sizes jump around a bit.
I assume you've already tried this: http://www.cryoutcreations.eu/forums/t/presentation-page-slider-image-scaling ?
The only other thing I can suggest, is deleting all instances of the images within your media library in WP, and then uploading the right ones again.
Sorry, I'm not familiar with apple so I don't know whether there are any fixes you can try within iPhoto.

Thanks Clair. I did get it fixed. I was rescaling already cropped images. Then I tried rescaling original images and now it look fine. Thank you again for helping me out :)
Hi Demi. I looked into your problem but I don't see the problem with the slider. I'm using a Windows 8 machine with Chrome.
Hi Gregory, Thank you for your response. Its a little relief hearing that. In my phone and iPad too Sliders look good. only in the desktop and laptop I see it extra maximized.
