Time will not Control Me, I will Control my Time

A new year, A new direction. Where does the time go? This is what I askl myself every morning when I rise. I’ve put a lot of time and effort into building my business but somehow, I always miss the mark. You have to wonder, how are all these people making money online, what are they doing? Is it a secret? I run this question through my mind 10 times a day, at least. I still can’t get a direct answer. I’ve even went to Clickbank University and I was still left with questions. I think I’ve been in at least 12 Affiliate Programs and you have to ask yourself, what is wrong with this girl. This was when I let Time control me. That was then, and this is now. Since being a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I have learned so much more than I thought I ever could. The one good think about being a member, you can ask the same question over and over until you get an answer. I must also say that having the community here at Wealthy Affiliate has kept me sane. This pandemic has forced me to stay at home so I’m not able to make a repo ire with my customers like I use to. I miss the one-on-one contact. The good thing is I spend more time with Wealthy Affiliate and I learn something new every day. I didn’t realize that there is so much information available to me, if I just take the time to look. I love to be creative and I’m still working on staying focused on one project at a time. So, I made a list of things that I need to do to get my Websites receiving lots of traffic. I have two that are totally complete so my goal now is to get that traffic moving.

That brings me to my New Year’s Resolution. Now this is just a few things that I’m adding for the moment but as time goes on, I’ll clean up my list.

  1. Control my business with Good Records.

No more writing information on post-it notes. I’m going to update my email database on a regular bases to ensure that I have the customer’s information correct. Check my files for accuracy on all records detailing both sales and expenses. This will also help if you’re ever audited, your records will show that you’re carefully organized.

2. Maintain files for my bank deposits.

I want to have a clear record of my deposits which will include checks and cash. I want to ensure that I have the ability to print my own invoices. This will allow me to quickly bill my customers and get faster payments.

3. I plan to give the “Personal Touch” to everyone.

I use to cut a lot of corners and sometimes things would backfire on me but I’ve learned to treat my customers with care.

In my office, I answer my own phone. I’m always looking for better ways to serve my customers. I plan to start a newsletter for my business and I want to add a personal touch, i.e., sending a handwritten note when I run discounts or specials.

In closing, I want to say that I’m honored to be a member of Wealthy Affiliate and I plan to be here many years to come but it’s time for me to work on building the relationship with my current customers. I know as long as I am loyal to my customers, the more customers will come.
