WA Membership & Affiliate Money Question?
I know I'm still on the free starter membership & I started 4 days ago but I've been trying to read up as much as possible about how the Wealthy Affiliate membership works. I was wondering what happens when people buy there membership and say refers 10 people. Let's assume they temporarily take off there membership for maybe 3 months, but 4/10 of those people they referred got platinum during those 3 months. Would that money be added automatically to that person's inactive account and later be accessible when its reactivated or would that money not be given out? Then would affiliates they've referred during there inactive period be counted as well? Thanks!

Been wondering about this... if you are basic and click on affiliate program you see this....
Membership Level Commission
Verified Invitation $1.00 per signup
Premium $22.50 per month
Premium (1-year) $175.00 per year
it says nothing about levels... I saw on the tutorial you have to be premium to get those commissions.. whats the real program?
Free starter memberships simply get a 33% deduction in affiliate payout. The question I'm wondering about though is if INACTIVE membership accounts still get paid or not, whether it's considered as free starter membership or regular premium paid amount. I've had a friend help me lately, and he's told me that on INACTIVE membership accounts, you can't even login unless you renew the membership on it.
Hi, I can't say what the right answer is but I believe that when you leave, your account is downgraded to a Starter account, so I would guess that you would still get commission but the commission would be less.

Here is the commission structure for Starter Member affiliates here at WA.
Starter member (w/ account Set-up) = $1 Credit
Upgrade to a Premium member (monthly) = $17 recurring every month
Upgrade to a Premium member (yearly) = $130 recurring every year!
If you are a Premium member here at WA, you get 33% higher affiliate commissions. Here is your affiliate commission structure:
Starter member (w/ account Set-up) = $1 Credit
Upgrade to a Premium member (monthly) = $22.50 recurring every month
Upgrade to a Premium member (yearly) = $175 recurring every year!
Thanks! I actually didn't know starters made a little less. It doesn't say anything about inactive membership accounts though. It simply compares free starter membership to premium membership payout. I guess this is more of a Kyle question, but I appreciate the information quite a bit. :)
Hi Craig and Scarlett. Hope all is well:)
My initial thought was what Craig pointed out.
As far as being "active," it's really not hard "work" to come in WA when you're on the "Starter Membership" and ask questions, make comments, read tutorials, etc. to advance YOURSELF. That's the best work IMO:)
So, if you have commissions waiting for you, would you mind "working" for it by learning how to make more money? :)
But, to find out exactly what's lingering in your mind, get the answer from Kyle or Carson. They seem to be answering questions on this page (NOTE: you have to click on one of the Lessons to get to comment section to show up):

Hello, so did I get it right: once I refer somebody I am gonna be paid commissions monthly/yearly depends on deal my sign up chose?cuz on affiliate info sec it's said $47/mth, Commission = $11.25 recurring
$359/year, Commission = $87.50 recurring n etc and doesn't mention that we r paid monthy or yearly....

@BrianVika
If you do have commissions, it's paid out every month (the 1st, I think) into your PayPal account. As far as recurring, that would depend if the member you referred remains a member or not.
If in doubt, I would go to Kyle or Carson and get it straight from them.
Have a great day!

This would be a question best suited for Kyle or Carson.
I know that if someone you've referred stops paying and then rejoins later on they're still your affiliate. They're your affiliate for LIFE. But if you're the one taking the time out, I'm not sure what happens.
Keep me posted, I'm really interested in knowing the answer to this myself :)
