Ranked # 1 on Yahoo Again Within 3 Hours of Posting!

Hey everyone! So it has happened again!

Yahoo seems to like me a bit much these days.

My post managed to rank #1 on Yahoo again! Woohoo.

However, this time, it took only 3 hours for this ranking to take place! Crazy, right?

Absolutely!

What Happened

I published a post a few days ago and made sure it was SEO optimized. I went on the Jaaxy to research on a specific keyword and then got super side-tracked. I ended up checking my posts on SiteRankings.

Now, even though I just finished writing the post, I just entered the URL and thought I would put a daily tracking on it just to see how it does.

Low and behold, this is what happened:

I could not believe what I saw and almost thought it must have been a mistake.

As you can see, Google and Bing did not show me the same love but that's okay. I have learned to be patient.

Ranking on yahoo at the first position is no easy feat and also worth celebrating.

So I went out and treated myself to ice cream on the patio!

Please don't judge-everyone has gained a few extra pounds during Covid lol.

3 Days Later

So another three days later, I decided to track the URL again to see if my post was still ranking at the first page.

Here is what happened:

This time, Google found me!! Nowhere close to the first page but I will take 22! Hooray!

This is three days after I published my post.

Makes me so happy to see my efforts being rewarded! Time for more ice cream? You BET!

More Success

I find that it is important to track your posts once you publish because it gives a huge sense of motivation, even if at first you get no rankings. Tell yourself: It is OKAY!

I usually analyze further as to what is making some posts rank faster and others not or what is making some rank higher and others not.

There is no such hard or fast rule to figuring this out. I wish I could tell you what is working. For me, I just try my best to optimize as much as possible.

This means, adding the right keywords in the Title, in the meta description and also in images. Yes, your images can also rank!

I also use keywords in my H3 and H2 headings within the posts.

Anyways, I hope that my mini success has inspired you to check your own post rankings !
