Progress Update! Been a little quiet on here. and I still value you all!

I realise I haven't been in touch that much for the past couple of weeks - somehow I am still ranked in the Top 100 and while I am not focussed on the numbers, I would hate to think that I was giving less value to others.
Time has been quite short, however. I have soooooo many things I still want to do with my site - and I am only really managing to write one blog on my website a week. If something comes up and I need to spend time on other things on my site, I end up not doing that blog. I love writing... and I do find it hard to pull my thoughts together - it takes me time to write. I would love to write two or three blogs in the day that I have set aside for this, but it seems to take me the entire day to do the necessary research, write one blog, get the images together....
Consistency has not been my finest point - but I am not going to bash myself. I am doing this amidst some really big challenges - one of which is that I am a WAHM (work-at-home-mum) - the other being that I need to also create some immediate income while I get my website working for me, and the other as I have discussed in other posts, is to do with my husbands job. Any one of these things working out for us would make things a lot different and at the moment, it remains a challenge! And I am considering this as a period in time... not as a permanent issue!
I actually have a looooooong list of all the things I want to write about. It's finding the time to write about them all. It's also time to monetise - a month ago, I was accepted as an affiliate for two programmes but I have been challenged about which way to go with it. I am finding writing a review much more challenging than writing a simple blog! Your tips on this would be appreciated, if you have any!
Also getting to the emails from WA in my inbox has been tough the last week or so. I need to get more organised with this - I want to give back (and also pay forward) to the community so I need to find a system for going through these emails and giving. Because like I said, consistency in helping out on here has also been a little inconsistent too! I have trainings that I want to write but those are also still only ideas in my head, rather than me breathing life into those ideas!
So I do have some challenges..... AND there is some good news...
I am aware that I want success in IM more than ever - I have fallen in love with my niche. I find myself feeling really passionate about the topics I am writing about! To love your niche is a very helpful thing!
I also have a strong reason and urge to keep going at this - so each time, I start falling behind, I get back on the horse and start working again! So my posts might be inconsistent but they never stop... I always get back to it!
And the other good news is that my number of visitors is slowly but surely starting to rise... each month just little by little, I am getting a bit more traffic! I still have some way to go as I have just realised my keyword research needs a bit more work, but I am making headway!
Anyway, just wanted to check in with you all - fill you in on progress! I would also love to hear about your progress - tell me below what you have been up to!

Just be the turtle and keep plugging away as you slowly accomplish your goals, be they posts, pages, sites... whatever. Experience that special sense of accomplishment that comes with progress and keep right on going. Lots to do and never a dull moment... enjoy and as usual... cheers :)
Hi Sarah,nice to here from you. I'm finally starting to make some headway on my websites and training.Making some progress on writing as well.
As of now it is practice,practice,practice. I have joined Jaaxy and am trying to use key words.I plan on writing articles but I really have to get my websites up and running and as usual I have so many irons in the fire it's hard to focus on one thing.At first I didn't realize that just taking part in the process is part of the training. I'm typing, spelling,and using better grammar because of the comments,questions and blogs.All the best, Marty:)

Wow, your journey seems very similar to mine. It also takes me a good day to write an entire post (including research - content/keyword, finding and optimizing images, editing, etc). I try to write one a week, but since the kids have been out of school I am not even getting to one a week. We have been doing a lot of traveling this summer as well.
My rank has also dropped quite a bit, but I am not very concerned with that. I am a worrier by nature, so I am really trying to limit the things I worry about or else I probably would have given up already.

Yes, worrying just acts as a demotivator! I just keep plodding away and believe that I will make it happen as long as I don't give up!
At least, I know I am not alone! Thank you for letting me know that you are the same too.
I also tell myself that I am doing this for my daughter! But there is no point me spending all my time focusing on this and not spending time with my daughter.. I need to spend time with my daughter during the process too..!!

Yes, achieving a balance is important. I am doing this so I can be with my kids more but then I find myself telling them to go play, or getting mad at them when they fight because I am trying to work on my site. I think I need to keep telling myself that it is ok to go slow. Although it would like to make at least enough a month to cover my WA membership for now. But that might still be a few months away.
I'm right there with you... this could be myself talking! And yes it IS okay to go slow!! Best of luck - I look forward to hearing about your future successes!

Thanks Sarah! I really appreciate it. I will look at yours again as well. I looked at it earlier but then was interrupted by the kids. They are in camp next week so I will for sure be able to leave a comment then if I don't get to it sooner.
I can understand where you coming from I have really gotten to enjoy writing however with so many idea's in my head sometimes just cannot get it to come together, so long as we are doing something to progress our business I am working on improving not just the look but working on more content
I know.. I keep telling myself if it's slow and steady progress, it's progress! Everyone is different and has different things going on in their lives and so we have to fit in work around what is going on for us!

Thanks very much for sharing, Sarah dear. :)) I can relate to that, my to-do-list is getting longer and longer each day, lol. ;)) About product review, unless it is something you have interest, if not it is a bit tough I think. :))
Yeah the product review is quite tough!! I will get there though! Maybe start with something I am really passionate about to get the creative juices flowing! Then use the same format for different reviews going forward!
