Calling on Some Help From The Experts
A Cry For Help!
It's been a little over three months since I've launched my first site here at WA and I love it and the community so much! And that's why I'm calling for some inspiration or guidance from my fellows here. I know its been a short time and I'm only on lesson 4... but have a I picked the right door?
Do I have a Niche?
I'm feeling a little fuzzy about my over all niche. Personally I need to be able to promote something I believe in, whether I've tried it or not, it needs to have a certain set of standards. My idea of my niche is natural and cruelty products, gadgets for easier natural living, and health consciousness with foods and quality of life. Sounds over all broad but I hope to develop more posts relevant to each sub topic under the niche of natural living.
Now does this sound like I'm heading in ok direction? I have a little voice telling me to narrow it down but a bigger voice saying go for it! So I'm reaching out in hopes to have some advice thrown in my direction. If you'd like to take a peek at my site to see what I mean, here it is

PS I'm in this for the long run and hope to make this into a very profitable business. And hope to hear some serious honest feedback!

Hi Samantha,
Very nice site! It's hard to tell if you will be too broad or not at this point. You may want to continue in your niche and see which products or interests attract the most viewership or response.
The only suggestion I would have is to perhaps either have a statement at the top of the blog roll or a box in the sidebar briefly explaining what you are showcasing and maybe why you are different from others. When I first visited you site it looked like you were into hair care treatments, which I was expecting to see something about in the next blog post, but it surprised me to see remedies for the flu. I couldn't figure out the correlation until I read several more blog posts down this might be about natural remedies. Does that make sense?

I think it's up to you as long as it is clear why people are visiting your site and what they hope to find in your offerings. I have seen people do that with a block of text at the top of their sidebar while others needed a static page for their welcome statement and offerings list.
If you choose to do a static page let us know when it's done and we can provide further feedback.
Btw, my wife may be visiting your site as she is very much into natural solutions. She has bad inflammation issues and is a celiac. She has to eat whole, non-processed, organic and non-GMO foods which equates to eating as natural as possible.

this was helpful thank you, ill work on that, i was just about to ditch it all and just do natural skin care, but when i created the site that wasnt the route i wanted to take. so with your feedback oi think ill keep on with where im headed but be a little more descriptive.
thanks alot, and hopefully i can provide useful info for your wife. im glad to hear shes using solutions like that to help her, many people rely only on pills and medication but the diet can be medicince too!
Your site looks great Samantha. It's difficult to know whether you need to narrow it down yet but you can always do so once you are more clear about why people are coming to your site and which keywords are attracting the most traffic.
What I would suggest is that you define the specific audience you're targeting and the problem/s they have for which you are providing solutions.
Also it may be an idea to work out what makes you different to your competitors, or how you want your site to be different, then you can ensure this is carried through everything you do.
Answering the above may help you decide whether your site is doing what you intend it to do or whether you need to narrow in.

To me it seems a little broad. However, what I would suggest is see how information is available out there for each of these and how many posts you could make. Then look at that and see how you feel about the total.
Thank you, I think the reason I am a little broad is because there is a lot of info, which is almost a curse at the same time. I think i'm feeling a bit overwhelmed lol. I appreciate your feedback!!
You are welcome but you have to be your own judge on that one. One thing is to keep in mind is how long that will take you to put together. Are you going to have enough till you can get to the rest.

Nice site. I think the subtitle could be more personal. In your about page, you say that you i love all things natural. With that I know what the site is about. However, with the posts, I'm not sure. Having said that, ingredients of these products will then be critical because we of the earth people are all about what's in it!
