Moment of Introspection

Last week I took the time to look at my progress or lack of it here on WA. It was a serious time of introspection to check what was working and what was not. It occurred to me that I had made little progress ever since I joined three months ago. Of particular concen was my high bounce rate on my website. So it was in order for me to summon myself back to the drawing board.

The insight that came to me in my quietest moment was that my "why" was blurred. So I had to re-examine that purpose and make it plain and then persistently pursue it. The clarity of vision was going to help me have direction in my online business activity. The steps to take to re-engage the targeted niche became clearer. With my "why" fully addressed, I went ahead to find out "who else" is pursuing this market. So I started checking some success stories here at WA. The first port of call was my initial WA connection.. I had to ask pertinent questions, checked his website which coincidentally is in the same niche as mine. Then I realized what was missing in my locker. Immediately I decided to address some of the areas that needed my immediate attention.

As I did my search, it also occurred to me that there is this quality of persistence in me that I need to harness. It became apparent when planning for an email campaign for my website. I chose MailChimp as a starting point not knowing how my patience would be tested. As I expected, it was not straightforward. So I went to YouTube to learn how to use it After almost two days of struggling with the nuts and bolts, I was disappointed to get a notification that their policy doesn't allow affiliate marketing among others. So I decided to convert to Convertkit.

It was highly restrictive until I enrolled in the trial that was begging for $29 after 14 days (my budget is too tight so that was cringing). Then I moved my "sink" (lol) to MailKitchen, it was very confusing to me and so I immediately ran for the exit!

Then, I finally googled Aweber. It was just to "check" cause I was not prepared for a premium based platform that I understood Aweber was. I had gone through a recently held WA webinar on Email marketing and Aweber was ostensibly (or is it apparently) given a top-notch. My eyes lit up when I saw they have recently introduced a free plan. Previously, there was only a 30 day free trial period but now there is a 500 subscriber limit free plan! Boom, That can do for me for now. My website now has a sign up form and a landing page!!! I know I can do better on my design!

Anyway, I was trying to be social. Let me resume increasing my stock in trade - keyword-rich content - on my website. Wish me the best, people!

One step at a time and you will find your success. It can seem quite daunting at first and 3 months is not a long time in the affiliate journey.

Remember, we are all here if you have questions or need a little guidance!

All the best-
Diane

You are a few days older than me here. I have come to realize that one day a time helps a great deal.

Vision and Clarity are so important to your website. Welcome to WA
