When Time Flies
We have all heard the old saying "Time Sure Does Fly."
Over the last few weeks the weather in New England has been to say the least uncooperative to the calendar. The calendar read that spring is here. However, when I peered out my window the other morning before starting my day. I could have sworn it was still winter. Then within the next few hours the snow was gone and I was getting ready for my morning run with a t-shirt and shorts.
The whole idea of New England weather this year has reminded me of the days past when winter seem to last forever. It also made me realize how "Time sure does Fly."
It seems like only yesterday my ex and I where expecting our first child to be born. However, yesterday I has taking him out and teaching him how to drive. His has grown into a young man that this dad is very proud of. He will continue to grow and will be just like his is today, the spitting image of his dad.
Then there was the day my ex sent me the message the we are inline for a second child. This time we want to get an idea of what we where in for. The test came back the we are to have a second boy. This one seems to figure things out right from the start. Everything from feeding to sleeping to when dad needed his rest after a long day a work. This one is still better at any video game than is old man.
The time came for my ex to break the news to me that we are getting ready for boy #3. Although it has only been 7 years, it seems like he just came to us. I hate to say it but this one really takes the cake. He knows his dad and knows my weaknesses. He can make me laugh when i am down, he can make me cry when he is not around.
Since the divorce 3 years ago I don't get to see them as much. This has made things difficulty for me and at times for them. But as time goes by they will see how much they truly mean to me.
"Time Sure Does Fly" when you don't stop to see what are the most meaningful things in your life. And It never hurts to take the time to think of the things you value most in life.

It DOES fly. It seems like my kids were just little and now my daughter is expecting her 3rd. Enjoy each moment. You can't get those moments back.
