5 am - Day 3 - Some Tips
Well...I'm happy to say that I got up again at 5 am to write. I didn't get a lot of words out, but I did make some progress.
I few notes for today:
- Writing in Site Content is not that easy. Formatting bugs and lack of image formatting features made me want to go into the WP dashboard to continue writing my blog post. But when I logged in to my WP site the post wasn't there! I had to publish the post in Site Content and then it showed up in WP. I have to unpublished it so I can keep working on it and it won't show up live on my site.
- I downloaded Grammarly extension for Chrome to help catch those spelling and grammar mistakes like they have in the Site Content tool
- Use "Shift+Enter" if you want to create a new line right under another one - but don't want to create a new paragraph
- Loving the live chat feature of WP to ask questions. Even though it's 5 am and the house is (mostly) quiet, I certainly don't feel alone thanks to WP!
- Don't forget to add your affiliate links to the images in your posts
- Best to "open in new tab" for affiliate links on your posts so people don't leave your website
- Start a google spreadsheet to keep track of affiliate links - especially as you start promoting multiple products.

P.S. How in the world did the kids wake up at 6 am? I was being so quiet. Well...that's ok. They just coloured on the kitchen table with me while I worked. All good. :)

P.S2: I've been reading a lot of complaints about SiteContent lately. Maybe that's why Jay is going to address it tomorrow in his Live Class. It may be something you want to check out and see if he'll bring you some answers/insights.
It's 5am or NOTHING! :) I like it this way cause then I can be present with the kids in the evening (and clean the house).
I'll try to jump in on that Live Class tomorrow night. It's right at dinner time so....
Do they make the replays available?
Yes, they make the Classes available for replays (usually right on the next day).
You should definitely check them out. There are some pretty amazing classes from past years there.
Within the "Live Video Classes" tab on the left side menu, make a search for the topic of your interest.

I gave up using Grammarly on the WP interface as somehow it played a role in duplicating paragraphs randomly. Yeah... go figure...
The moment I removed Grammarly it went away. Hope you don't encounter the same as it was extremely annoying.
