DIY Woodworking
Hi WA members,
I hope, you are all well and staying safe.
My story so far - I found WA by accident I was searching for the best autoresponder and came across John van der laan's site - long story short here I am.
I have bought several training programs on Affiliate Marketing and they all fell well short of the mark. They were big on promises but hugely under delivered (maybe my expectations were too high).
The training and support here at WA is amazing, very structured, easy to follow and I can see my progress. After being here at WA for a few days I got message from Kyle (couldn't believe he sent little ole me a personal message) he genuinely wanted help me succeed.
After about a week I thought WOW! I can do actually do this and have a successful affiliate marketing blog/business and decided to become a Premium member, that was just over two weeks ago.
I'm in the woodworking niche and enjoying the ride so far, however content writing is a bit of a struggle for me even though I really know woodworking and have been doing it for a very long time.

Congratulations on becoming a Premium member. I agree that Wealthy Affiliate is the real deal, and we're getting a great bargain.
A lot of people have trouble with the content writing. Just try to write like you're talking to someone, and telling them all about the topic you have chosen. It will get easier.
There are some good points in the training about how to set up your post. So make sure you watch those. And then you can go into the Classroom and find more training.

You grabbed my attention with the title ...lol
I couldn't resist to share my projects over the last two weeks with you.
I am by no means an expert in woodwork. In fact it wasn't until about 6 years ago, when I was unemployed and suffering with depression for a short period, that I first picked up an hammer! My brother-in-law offered me the opportunity to earn some cash in hand and keep me busy! Traditionally I was an office 9-to-5 IT guy.
WA is keeping me busy, but the weather and the lockdown here in the UK has allowed me to get into the back garden and do some DIY projects.
- My partner wanted some shelves in her shed.
- My 7 year old granddaughter wanted a mounting block so she could get on the horse that she has literally just started to learn to ride.
- My sister wanted a fence to divide her garden up from the dog mess and the kids play area.
- I needed a wood-store for all those pallets
All of them have been done from pallets and scrounging. i.e free wood! It's cost me a little bit in screws ( I don't do nails, I'm still not that good with a hammer) and obviously it's cost my time. But well worth it to show love to my family and friends during this horrible time

Thank you for the photos, love your projects - well done. I can use a hammer but also don't use nails very often.
I'm impressed with your handy work, pallets are a great source of free timber. There also heaps of pallet projects online, I've only ever built an outdoor chair using pallets.
WA is also keeping me busy during lock down, today here in NZ we went from Level #4 to Level #3 so can do a bit more as long as we keep to the social distancing rules.
