Unique SiteComment Apparently NOT Unique

Oh boy, SiteComments has gone and stuffed up again....

The last time I was told that my SiteComment was not unique I had a bit of a rant because I was asked to comment on a post about tinnitus and I wrote about a Lady Gaga concert that I had attended only to be left with ringing in my ears for 2 or 3 days afterwards. I was told that this comment was not unique and so it was not accepted because someone else had (well, obviously) typed the exact same words at some other point in some other comment and I had to take the extra time to re-write my comment.... Ok, I get that... maybe someone else's ears were left reeling at the vocal abilities of the quirky songstress after a concert in Belfast..... stranger things have happened....

THIS TIME I have some trouble accepting exactly WHO could possibly have left the exact same comment as me. My alter-ego? My 'other' personality?? My (oh, no...!) stalker????? Allow me to explain...

Ok, so... I'm doing something controversial... I'm posting a screen shot of my comment and you tell me at what point it could ever have been copied from any other comment on here.... And please, if any of you have ever had this comment DO tell me...

The post on which I commented was on a waterproof, windproof parka and here is my comment and the offending subsequent message.....

Oops! indeed....!!!

Well, I know it's Sunday and I'm not strictly speaking 'working' but I also didn't want to HAVE to spend extra time coming up with another comment (when there was nothing wrong with this one!) - nor did I really want to have to spend time writing this blog post, but it needed saying - so I tried to think of what I could add or take away to make it (ahem!) more unique.

So, how did I get the comment approved.....?

I added the words "Great post" to the very end. BINGO!!!!!!

SiteComments..... get your act together!!!!

I am so tired of this. I have wasted a lot of time trying to leave comments that were absolutely fine only to have them rejected for not being unique. I wish they would fix it.

Thanks for your comments guys.... But what gets me is that, in the comments that I've had rejected, I've used some very specific personal or geographic details in the comment - seriously, how many WA members are from Northern Ireland, have a Doberman and bring her to forest parks to walk her...??? If there are any, I've not met them on all my many walks... so how was that in any way not unique? I'd love to get a response from Kyle or Carson about this because to be honest all I wanted to do for a few hours tonight was leave comments and build up some credit so I could ask for some comments for a post or two that I intend to post tomorrow. But instead of concentrating in my post (which will need to now be written tomorrow) I've written and am responding to this. I'm not a happy bunny.....

oh your comment seems fine have not had this problem as yet hope I do not either hope you manage to get it resolved have you contacted Kyle or support yet

It's two words in a sentence or so, I have messaged kyle about it for instance if you were to type I really enjoyed your post on more than one comment it makes it not unique

Unbelievable! Add 'great post' and it suddenly becomes #unique'? This beggars belief! I thought your comment was helpful, relevant and well thought-out. But maybe that's just me being sensible!! Keep doing what you're doing :)

Exactly, and because it was actually a genuine response it made the rejection all the more personal, haha!! Hopefully it won't be something I encounter too often (fingers crossed!)

So these are magic words, I shall try it, have many episodes of this sort.

Last timer it was about SmushFund. So comment was not unique, then by chance I changed SmashFund into Smash Fund (which is incorrect phrase, it must be written together), and it became unique.

Jovo, it's definitely getting ridiculous. The innocent are being persecuted because of the actions of the few. I shall be adding 'great post' to the end of every rejected comment from now on to see what happens haha!! Good to know it's not just me that it's happening to :)
