I tried to talk to my wife about promoting a certain niche this morning and before I could get it all out of my mouth she says, "But they already sell those items on-line." Sh
Hi,
Me and my wife both are Amazon Affiliates selling Amazon product via our websites. We earn commissions every month by directing the traffic to Amazon.
I would tell your wife that if the number of competing websites in the same niche as I am is low, I have a greater chance of getting traffic to my site and potential sales in which I earn a commission.
The key for you is to determine how many competing websites you are up against. To determine that just click on the Competition link in the WA Keyword Tool. If it's under 100, you are good to go. Just write excellent content and you should see traffic going to your site very quickly.
If the number is above 100, you can expect a longer wait time for traffic to visit your site.
The bottom line here is that all niches can earn money. It just depends upon your willingness to stick with it and write excellent content that is better than your competitions.

How do I counter my wifes point?

The fact that people buy these products online is exactly why it’s lucrative for you to promote them. The internet is like the biggest storefront you’ve ever seen, with millions of buyers making purchases every second of every day. When someone makes a google search looking to buy something, they’re not greeted all at once by the thousands of sites selling that product. They’re greeted with page 1 of google results, and usually they make their purchase from one of the search results on that page or maybe page 2. This training shows you how to get to page 1. That’s like the biggest and most successful merchant giving you prime shelf space at their highest selling store. Can you imagine saying, “oh but people buy that product all the time, why would I want to sell that?” They’d look at you like you’re crazy lol.
This training absolutely delivers and the fact that people buy these products online is exactly why it’s so lucrative.
I see what your saying Eric. I really appreciate the feedback and it makes total sense. I haven't gotten far in the training yet, but I think the fact that she's not behind me on this makes it more difficult for me to spend time on it. I think you guys are right though. There's money out there to be made on this thing if I take the time to learn to be one of the first ones they see when they look up specific items. Thanks so much, yours and George's posts really helps me, thanks guys.

No problem man. And understanding it's a process is a big part of it. This is something that takes time, but with time and patience Google rewards you. So keep with the training, stay driven, push forward, and don't give up. When I started I told myself I wouldn't even think about commissions for a full 6 months. I knew it was that important to just concentrate on learning how to create quality content.
Not quite a year later, I'm very proud that December is going to be a $4000 month for me. Trust the system! It works!
