Simple Money Paradox
The 3 Stooges walked into a hotel and requested adjoining rooms for the night. They were shown the rooms and found them acceptable and satisfactory. The accommodation charge for the rooms was thirty dollars and each Stooge gave the bellhop ten dollars. The bellhop took the cash to the hotel cashier. The manager realized he had celebrities in the hotel and he might use the publicity to draw attention to the hotel. The manager lowered the hotel night accommodation cost from thirty to twenty-five dollars. He told the cashier to give the bellhop five dollars to return to the 3 Stooges. The cashier handed five single dollar bills to the bellhop who returned the same to the celebrity hotel guests.
With the five dollars in hand, the 3 Stooges realized that it would be difficult to divide the five dollars evenly between themdelves so, they each took a dollar and gave the bellhop a tip of two dollars for returning the change, showing them the room and being honest about the whole thing. Everybody was happy.
Ok. Do the math. Originally , the rooms would have cost $30.00 divided 3 ways to the tune of $10.00 each. Since the cost of the rooms dropped $5.00 to $25.00, the hotel guests received a discount of $5.00 returned to them. In essence, the cost of the rooms to the 3 Stooges now was $9.00 per Stooge or 3 X 9 The bellhop pocketed the $2.00.
3 X 10 or 30 now is 3 X 9 or 27 plus 2 equaling 29 not 30.

I am going to have to go with the best phrase that I have in my arsenal. I don't read good.
