How An Old Disused Website Can Make Three Figures In A Week!
I am writing this blog post as a few people have asked me a question about a blog post I put up a month or so ago about an old website making three figures a week.
I have several websites some that I am actively promoting and some that I'm not. The particular website that I'm talking about has not had any content added for about two years, however, it does have a lot of old posts going back some years. First of all, the website does not make three figures every week, but every week it is making money and quite often it will make three figures a week! (The niche is seasonal) I'm actually going to resurrect this website as I feel it has huge potential.
One of the questions I was asked was what niche I was in, I believe that we have to choose a niche that we have an interest in and a passion for, if we don't, it will make blog post writing extremely difficult. I would never copy someone's niche just because they were making money, you need to know your niche and have a passion and knowledge about your products!
I think we often overcomplicate the system of making money online. Most successful Internet marketers will tell you just the write content on a regular basis and write content with good information and you will be found in Google! I believe many people here at Wealthy Affiliate would agree with this.
So to conclude, the best thing you can do, is to write content and keep adding on a regular basis. As I mentioned above, I haven't added content of this website for around two years and yet it is still making money. I'm going to start adding content to this website, big time, very soon, I know that by doing this that the revenue will increase!
So, keep writing, choose a niche that you are passionate about and see the results come in and don't overcomplicate things!
Thank you for reading.

Hey Roy,
I agree!! Just because your niche is making YOU money doesn't mean it would make others money anyway. Your passion comes out in your writing whether you know it or not. You can't FORCE yourself to like a particular product/area.
Tried and True

Thanks, Roy. Having done the training, we should all know this but it is so easy to get off track and a post like this is a timely reminder to us all. Good luck with this site.

Hello Collette and Philip, thank you for taking the time to reply. I hear you, we have all done the training, but it's easy to wander off track.

Well said Roy, we can all of us overcomplicate things, the formula that works is tried and true, we kind of don't have to reinvent the wheel.
That is amazing that you have left that site unattended and yet it is still creating income goes to show the power of online marketing.
Thanks for that reminder content is the roadmap for sure.

Great post, Roy. I thoroughly agree with you. Why would you even want to research and write about a niche that doesn't interest you? Chances are, you won't be able to interest your readers either. On the other hand, write about something you feel passionate about and that passion will pass to your readers. I've seen this time and again. It really works.
All the best,
Wendi
Thanks for taking the time to reply Wendi, I do appreciate it. Very well said, I hear you 100%, we do not want to make things hard for ourselves, it's always good to keep things simple.
Enjoy your day.
