A Brilliant Answer from Mel About AI!

I feel I have to share what Mel said to me about a comment on his blog post, entitled, "Ai - i am all in!" As it was such an excellent and brilliant comment!

As many of you know, I am actually a very positive individual, however, sometimes I have been described as a conspiracy theorist and other things. I just like to see things from all sides, so that means seeing the negatives and the good things! I also have many reservations about AI, however, I must admit that Wealthy Affiliate members seem to be using AI in a very good and productive way, which is fantastic!

You can see Mel's original post below.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/melwaller/blog/ai-i-am-all-in/comment/38028434

My response to Mel is below.

"That's good to see that you can see the benefits of AI, Mel! I must admit that I still have reservations, although it does appear that many members here are reaping the benefits!

I just hope that AI will be used for good rather than evil!"

Mel's response was.

"The reality of the Dark side of AI is real in my opinion, but my using it for the good it can do has no effect on that. But to deprive myself of these tools because of my fear whether well founded or not makes no sense and only hurts me in the near and long term, Roy.

So it's Game On!"

I must admit I have found Mel's response very thought-provoking and wise! There are some things that we can't change, however, we can use AI wisely and thoughtfully to our advantage.

Thank you for reading.

That is exactly how I think of it... Focus on the good it can do and how it can help me be more proficient and successful in my business, then cross the bridges of negative applications of this technology as we encounter them. What good does it accomplish to worry?

Good morning Kevin,

Thank you for commenting, it's appreciated.

That's a good way to look at it, very wise words indeed! I couldn't agree more, worry will not get us anywhere!

Wishing you a great day.

Roy

I agree to the highest intent about using Al as a good source to do good things instead of the bad that seamlessly a lot of people love to do but we just have to avoid them and use it with good intent to attract customers that may want to know more information before making a purchase. Or something along those lines.

Myra ๐Ÿ’œ

Good morning Myra,

I certainly have my reservations regarding AI, not so much for Internet marketing and how Wealthy Affiliate members are using it. It's when it goes deeper then it can be rather concerning.

It's always good to try and focus on the positive things, although I want to be real! I still have a lot to learn regarding AI.

Have a great day.

Roy

I fully agree with Mel. If we don't use AI for the good, then it's going to be all bad anyway. It's not like the folks using it nefariously will stop. I also think that understanding AI and how it works can help us avoid being scammed in the future.

Thank you for your reply, Genesis, it's appreciated.

I really liked Mel's comment, a very good principle indeed! I think knowing what the prompts are with AI is a huge bonus. I'm sure it's worth taking a bit of time to learn the various prompts to get the most out of AI.

Have a great Sunday.

Roy

I agree to disagree, Roy. Perhaps you and Mel are right, but no matter what, it is advancing way too fast, so since I am slow anyway, and don't chase the newest shiny object, I'll likely come into it when all the hooplah has finally settled down. There will be lots of extremely similar content out there if it does make it through though, and then that is when the real work begins--to once again differentiate ourselves!

Jeff

Hi, Jeff

You definitely have a valid point! There are always positive and negative sides to every new technology.

Many people are talking about how much easier AI is making their content creation, but I'm not seeing that, most likely, because I'm using it as a tool to help me write even better content, not to let it write my article for me.

I'm usually an early adopter of technology, but I never let it compromise originality and quality, which I consider the most important things! So, I'm proceeding cautiously and monitoring the results very carefully.

We'll see what happens. Hopefully, everything will turn out for the best. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Rock On! ๐Ÿค˜
Jeff ๐ŸŽธ

Yes Frank, Jeff has a very valid point, bit that is no excuse not to ue it to write even better content

Hi, Catherine

I fully agree, and I'm seeing excellent results with my particular implementation of AI as an idea generator and analyzing my articles and those of my competitors.

Frank ๐ŸŽธ

Thanks, Frank! I just don't have to the time to embrace new technology right now, especially when it can become obsolete or regulated so fast.

I am definitely still watching it though! ๐Ÿ‘€

Jeff๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

Haha, Catherine! I kind of like my content!

Jeff๐Ÿคฃ

A valid point, Frank! ๐ŸŽธ

Haha, You and me both! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘ƒ ๐Ÿ‘€
๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŽธ

I am too.

๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

Good morning Jeff,

Yes, I know exactly where your coming from and this is kind of where I am at! Although, I understand fully where Mel is coming from! We are already seeing quite a few storytellers on the platform which is clearly not their own writing!

Have a look at my reply to Jim (drjec), this is the type of thing we can be up against!

I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Have a great Sunday.

Roy

Hello Frank,

I like your wise words and I indeed see both sides of the coin!

I believe that someone like yourself that you have huge amounts of musical knowledge, so there is no need for you to use AI to write your content. However, it can help to give you ideas.

Have a great day.

Roy

Fantastic Jeff

Thanks, Roy!๐Ÿ˜Ž

Yes, AI has been an excellent content organizer for me.

Itโ€™s also great for generating article titles that really stand out.!

Frank ๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

It's a pleasure, Frank!

You certainly seem to be using AI very well, Frank, which is benefiting your website.

That's good that it's helping with article titles that stand out! I created a video the other day and carried out a demonstration on how to use Chat GPT to find a domain! I actually ended up buying the domain name as it was so good!

Have a great Sunday.

Roy

Hi, Roy

Creating AI videos is a smart idea since the interest is growing exponentially!

The WA Niche Finder, which is powered by ChatGPT, is an awesome tool!

Itโ€™s an excellent example of the proper way to use AI.

Right now, there is a market for flooding the Internet with low to mediocre quality content to make some quick money with AI. However, in my opinion, thatโ€™s unlikely to lead to a sustainable income.

Well, there are much smarter people than me working with AI to produce seemingly intangible outcomes, so weโ€™ll see what happens.

Itโ€™s all very exciting to witness unfolding! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Frank ๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

Thanks, my friend! Enjoy your new day!

Jeff

Yes, we are, Roy. I'd rather write my own content and be judged on the merit of that!

Jeff๐ŸŒž

Good morning Frank,

I wouldn't have a clue how to create an AI video, but it isn't something that I know very much about! It's almost like how can you create a video from AI?

The WA Niche Finder is something that I haven't used and maybe I should be using it! I believe we have many tools and resources at Wealthy Affiliate, but I'm probably not making the most of them all! I need to look into this.

I hear you, Frank, it may be easy to flood the Internet with AI content, but at the same time, it may not end well.

Despite my reservations about AI, it is incredible how quickly it can research and do so much!

Let's see what happens.

Roy

I know where you're coming from, Jeff! Especially if we know our niche, then the words should flow!

Have a great day.

Roy

Hi, Roy

You should definitely check out the WA niche finder.

You can also use it for keyword ideas.

By the way, ChatGPT is excellent for generating long-tail keywords, which you can vet in Jaaxy and on Google.

Frank ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽธ

Hello Frank,

You are up late today and I'm up early!

Yes, it's funny sometimes we have things that are right under our nose and yet we don't use them! I'm guilty of that!

It certainly sounds useful for keyword ideas, I need to experiment more!

I appreciate the heads up.

All the best.

Roy

Hi, Roy

Yeah, I went to bed around 3AM and here I am up at 6AM. Lol

I usually get about 5 hours sleep, but I woke up with a musical idea in my head so time to give it a whirl. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™ll be taking a nap later on today, maybe two. Hahaha

The Niche Finder tool is in the left WA sidebar on the homepage.

As a Premium Plus member you get 100 searches a month.

You can drill down into your initial search to get very granular.

Rock On! ๐Ÿค˜
Frank ๐ŸŽธ

Thanks, Roy!

Jeff

I think it will become overly saturated with AI, and it will become quite generic. We just have to wait and see, I guess, Roy! I remain on the fence.

Jeff

Hello Frank,

Now the first part; going to bed at 3 AM is very rock 'n' roll, but getting up at 6 AM is not very rock 'n' roll! Lol!๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Really Frank, I probably average about 6 1/2 hours of sleep, however, I would probably do better with 7 to 7.5 hours! I don't think I could manage eight hours! I actually look forward to getting up and don't have a problem getting out of bed, I believe you are the same, Frank!

Okay, I have just read further down, so you do a little bit of napping! Not a bad idea, if I sleep on the sofa, as in having a nap, I normally only sleep for five or 10 minutes! However, it's quite refreshing!

I need to play with this niche-finder tool! Thank you for the heads up, Frank.

All the best.

Roy

๐Ÿ‘

Yes, I do know where you're coming from, Jeff! I am still on the fence too. It does seem like a lot of members like AI! However, is the party going to come to an abrupt stop, I think it could do!?

Have a great day.

Roy

That remains to be seen, Roy!

Jeff

Haha, Roy
Getting up at 2 or 3 in the afternoon is a lot more Rock N' Roll. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Three hours of sleep is a little unusual, but I get along fine on 5 hours. I have a really comfortable chair in our greenhouse, where it's usually sunny, and I nap there frequently.

Frank ๐ŸŽธ

Only time will tell, I guess!

Have a great day.

Roy

Good morning Frank,

I couldn't agree more! I guess you could say it's much more Spinal Tap!๐Ÿ˜‚

Three hours of sleep is not much! I believe our old Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, did not sleep for many hours a night! It's funny how some people need less sleep. I do think it's important to have enough as I believe it has health benefits. The greenhouse sounds like a nice place to relax, although guessing in the summer it probably gets a bit too warm!

Wishing you a very good day.

Roy

Hi, Roy

One of my favorite movies! The Stonehenge scene is fabulous! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sleep is very important since it is a restorative process. I typically get 5 hours/night with a nap now and then.

We spend a lot of time in the greenhouse, weโ€™ll itโ€™s more like a glass room since itโ€™s attached to the house.

It has air conditioning and heat so itโ€™s comfortably usable year round and one of my wifeโ€™s favorite reading spots.

Rock On! ๐Ÿค˜
Frank ๐ŸŽธ

One day at a time, Roy!

Jeff๐Ÿ™

Good morning Frank,

I'm told that some people don't understand Spinal Tap, however, I just find it unbelievably funny and kind of true to a musician's life! I'm definitely with you on that Frank, the Stonehenge saint is excellent!

That sounds good, Frank, it's great that you have air conditioning and heat. We have a conservatory on the side of the house and that does get quite warm in the summer, as we don't have air conditioning. It's great that you can use the room all year round.

Wishing you a fantastic day.

Roy

Hi, Roy

Haha Yeah, thatโ€™s supposed to be a Black Sabbath concert when they come out of the pods onstage and one wonโ€™t open, then they drop that tiny little Stonehenge model.

The guitar player with the mullet haircut is supposed to be Jeff Beck.

Of course, the Marshal amp with the volume control that goes to 11.

I blew out so many speakers with crazy volume when I was in high school! I even had a recording of an English air raid siren that our band played during the beginning of โ€œWar Pigs.โ€

The whole movie is quite hilarious for those that have the musical background to understand whatโ€™s going on!
๐Ÿ˜

Rock On! ๐Ÿค˜
Frank ๐ŸŽธ

Good morning Frank,

I hope you're doing well.

I didn't know that, regarding Black Sabbath, it's amazing what people do!

I don't know who actually wrote the film, but they must have had a great sense of humour and lots of musical knowledge or knowledge of rock bands!

It's amazing what we do when we are young! I think if you had the amp at full volume, you ought to have been wearing earmuffs! I can't imagine it!

It's a fantastic movie, Frank! Yes, it may not be quite so funny if you don't understand how a muso operates!

Have a great day.

Roy

Hi, Roy

Spinal Tap was written by Rob Reiner, Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer. Rob actually appears in the movie. I loved him as the "Meat Head" in the TV series All In The Family.

Yes, I always wore earplugs at rock concerts and when playing in my bands. I never played too loud when I practiced alone.

I've seen Black Sabbath in concert about 10 or 12 times over the years. They never came out of pods onstage, so that was just to make the film funny.

I would have definitely loved to come out of a pod onstage when I was in high school. Lol ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Rock On! ๐Ÿค˜
Frank ๐ŸŽธ

Good morning Frank,

I'm sure those four men must've had an absolutely amazing sense of humour! It's funny what people can do and achieve, especially when it comes to the film "Spinal Tap"!

I remember my friend Bill was caged in with his drum kit, it was so loud within that little cage! It's probably why he couldn't hear very well!

That's amazing, Frank, I guess they were loud! The writers of the film certainly knew how to make a film funny!

I'm sure that most young musicians would love to come out of a pod!

Only Spinal Tap could have an album entitled "Break Like The Wind"!

Have a great weekend.

Roy

Hi, Roy

One of the things that amazed me about seeing Black Sabbath live was that Tony Iommi, the guitar player, broke the sacred "Rule of the Marshall."

He had a wall of Laney amps instead, and the sound was biblical! Marshall amps were hard to find in the USA, back in the '70s, and Laney amps were impossible to get.

I searched the music stores in New York City and Chicago for years, trying to find one. It was like the grail quest in the movie "Indiana Jones III," with Sean Connery! I guess I was a little crazy back then. Haha

I have a Laney amp now, and still worship the sound, so I guess very little has changed! Lol ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Rock On! ๐Ÿค˜
Frank ๐ŸŽธ

Good morning Frank,

Although I don't know huge amounts about the subject, it never fails to amaze me how different musicians make their very own unique sound!

I wonder why the amps were so hard to come by; I'm surprised!

I'm guessing you don't see that many Laney amps? I'm glad you are enjoying your Laney amp!

Have a great day.

Roy

Hi, Roy

Back then, English amps were not really being imported to the USA, just the way we werenโ€™t exporting too many American amps.

These days itโ€™s easy to get a Vox, Marshall, Orange, or Laney amp in the USA.

When Black Sabbath first made it big, Laney amplification was really just getting started, and it gave Tony free equipment as a promotional deal.

All these years later, he still uses them and has his own signature model.

Frank ๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

Good morning Frank,

I must admit that I didn't know Laney Amps were British, that's good to hear.

It's amazing how when the right person promotes a product, it can really make a name for itself! That's interesting that Tony is still using the same manufacturer, that says something!

Wishing you a great Monday.

Roy

Hi, Roy

Watch any Black Sabbath concert video on YouTube, and you'll see Tony's Laney stacks.

It took me a few years, back in the '70s, to figure out how he got that killer trebly sound with humbucking pickups on a Gibson SG. Then, aha!; he was playing through Laney amps using a Range Master treble booster!

I couldn't get a Range Master in the USA back then, so I used an Electro Harmonix Screaming Bird, which worked pretty well! My band did tons of Sabbath tunes back in high school.

I worshiped their sound! It was so big, dark, and in your face, with those evil lyrics! Lol

I still have that Screaming Bird treble booster, which is worth quite a bit of money now, as a vintage effect box.

Frank ๐Ÿค˜๐ŸŽธ

Good morning Frank,

Once again, it absolutely amazes me what musicians do with their amps and guitars etc, to bring an absolutely unique sound!

It's amazing the knowledge that you have about music and guitars, Frank! It looks like you could have an amazing blog post in paragraphs two and three! An electro harmonics screaming bird sounds like a unique piece of equipment, almost very rock and roll!!

It really sounds like you have had and still are having so much fun with your music, Frank! How fantastic is that!

Wishing you a great day.

Roy

Haha, Thanks, Roy!

I really appreciate that! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Itโ€™s easy to collect all this info over the years, that would be meaningless to anyone but a guitar freak.

So, congrats youโ€™re a guitar freak, too! Lol

Rock On! ๐Ÿค˜
Frank ๐ŸŽธ

It's a pleasure, Frank! I really like to see people's enthusiasm and passion for their niche or hobby etc!

What I have found with the proper muso's or guitar freaks over the years is that music is everything to them, they have absolutely no interest in anything else! Just music and more music!

But surely you are reaching guitar freaks, so the info may go down well, possibly!๐Ÿ˜Š

Have a great day and keep rocking!๐ŸŽธ

Roy

Lol, that sounds about right, Roy. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž

Rock On!๐Ÿค˜
Frank ๐ŸŽธ

It's good to chat about various subjects and have a bit of light-hearted communication, Frank!

I wish you well with all your online endeavours.

Have a fantastic Thursday.

Roy

Hi, Roy

Have a great day, too! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽธ

๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿ‘

What a great response - I'm glad you took the time to share this with us!

This is exactly what I thought, Julia! I thought it definitely needed to be shared!

Thank you for commenting and have a great day.
