Hello WA fam, today's blog is about Typhoon Tino, which caused extensive damage and tragically claimed the lives of some of our fellow countrymen.

It has been two days since Typhoon Tino passed through, but the damage remains severe, and rescuers are still searching for people who were swept away by the flood.

Death toll exceeded 140, with over 127 people still missing as of November

I feel incredibly blessed that my entire family and relatives are safe, but my heart bleeds for those who have lost their homes and loved ones.

But amid the destruction, I saw something even more powerful the strength of the Filipino spirit. People helping strangers, rescuers risking their lives, families sharing what little they had. It showed me that even in the darkest moments, compassion and unity shine the brightest.

This typhoon taught me to never take anything for granted not our homes, not our loved ones, not even a quiet day without rain. It reminded me to be grateful, to prepare better, and to always extend a hand to those in need.

Typhoon Tino reminded us how fragile life can be. In just a few hours, homes were washed away, lives were lost, and entire communities were turned upside down. It made me realize that no matter how strong we think we are, nature will always have the power to humble us.

Hello Wen. I saw Mel's post about Typhoon Tino earlier and am glad that you are all ok. You are right - we can't take anything for granted. I was talking about you with my daughter yesterday. We were out with my dog and it was stormy - sufficiently strong that on the hill we needed to be careful not to get knocked over by the wind. And I mentioned to her the Typhoon Tino. Strangely enough there was barely a mention about it in the news here.

Wishing you all the best. Stay safe and enjoy every day as much as possible, especially since Melissa-Jeane will be growing up so very fast.
