Misty Wants Me to Keep Writing About Her. So Like a Cat!

The other day I wrote a blog post about our cat Misty. I thought I would get her whole story into one post, but NO, there is too much to tell. That one is here

and it left off with her in Mexico with our other cat, Moonlight, a part-Siamese cat who talked like one. They were pretty good friends.

Well, when we eventually decided to move back to the US, it was easy enough to get both our cats and both our dogs back across the border into the US. They all had their health papers. Kelly drove our small Toyota Dolphin motorhome with both dogs in it: LarryDog who is lounging with Misty in the picture at the top, and Lola, the young Rottweiler who had come into our lives in Mexico.

I was in our car. I'm no fan of driving in Mexico, specially not on major highways, so we hired a Mexican man to drive. I had to be in the car with him due to a Mexican law not letting Mexicans drive US-plated cars in Mexico unless someone from the US (maybe the owner, I don't remember) is there too. He already had papers to get into the U.S. He spoke English on a par with my Spanish, so we had bilingual conversations. Misty and Moolight were each in their own crate in the back seat. We stopped a night or two in Mexican motels, where Kelly and I had a room with the four beasties. They were all glad to be free of confinement.

We got back to Crestone, Colorado, the small town where we had lived before. We had already purchased a nice mobile home, complete with a cat door into a confined yard, so Misty and Moonlight settled right in.

Here is Moonlight (believe me on this) in one of his favorite spots.

He was older and he did eventually cross the Rainbow Bridge. Dear Moonlight! I miss him. But no more Siamese yowling for us.

Misty was quite happy to be the Only Cat. She has found her way into some of my blog posts.

Here's one where I was doing a review:

And here is a recent one.

And so we go on, two old ladies together.

She seems to be a good companion for you.

Yes, excellent for me but not massively fond of my husband and loves to bss the dogs!

Ohhhh, possessive! 🤣 I had a dream about mine last night. No wonder I woke up all congested. 🤣

Cats are awesome. My friend trained her cats to go in the toilet. Thank you for sharing your animal. There are beautiful.

I've heard of that training, but don't think I will try it with this old lady. I'll be writing about my dogs too.

Ha ha! Very nice, Rosana! Tig-Tig approves!

Jeff

I am glad Misty inspires you to write.

Great story Rosana!
