Wintery Days in Texas
6
Most Unusual Sunday/Monday in East Texas. Saturday evening it started snowing, very unusual for Texas. Snow continued all day Sunday, heavy snow, accumulated about 4 inches. Was a very wet heavy snow. It broke off a large branch from our Magnolia tree. Monday morning left about 50-60 thousand people without power. Many businesses and residences had no power for several days. When the storm left Texas, it went and hammered Louisiana.
Having grown up in northern Michigan, I'm fairly used to this sort of thing. But, these poor folks down here, few and far between happening here.
Well, all the power is restored and back to normal. Dogs survived their fist winter experience. Now their just waiting for breakfast. The little fat girl is Buttercup, a Chihuahua and Beagle mix. The big boy is Cooper the Basset hound, he's howling for breakfast. Wow, is he a howler. He howls when he wants to be fed, he howls at Candy when she's feeding the cats.
That's Hootdaddy in his photography studio being photogenic. Hoot is a Manx [no tail] and very jealous of cats that have tails. He beats them up reguarly. Hoot used to be Hootnanny, she got bit by a snake, vet informed us he was a Hootdaddy.
This is about my first attempt at blogging, I know I have alot to learn. Still working at the training, learning a lot. WA is an awesome platform. I'm planning on retiring from my other oilfield job soon. I like Wealthy Affiliate that much, it is inspiring.

Love it, Roger! No, most true Texans are not familiar with winter so even the slighted snow can be problematic, and let's not even talk about ice! 😳🤠
Hey Roger a super job for a first time out of the blogging box. WOW it looks to COLDDDDD! Looking forward to many more posts from your wintery wonder land.
Hugh
Very interesting Roger. As I have never been to Texas, I imagine that everyone wears a stetson, its full of oil wells, flat and dull. I know that's the fault of Larry Hagman but I am sure it's a great place.
Yes Dave, been home for 44 years, mostly fond memories. Hot as a fire cracker in the summer. Thanks!
