Picture of my office
Yesterday I posted that it is a good idea to 'Organise Yourself For Success' http://bit.ly/1OaeAQc and have since thought it wise to show you that I do what I profess, so here is a picture of my desk.
Incidentally, you will notice that I have 2 monitors and I must say that since I have been able to use these together, it has made my life a lot easier since I can work on a word document on the left hand screen before I copy & paste it into my blog etc. on the right.
I did not go out and spend a fortune on a new screen as my daughter was no longer needing her's, she gave it to me. I'm sure you can find a cheap one on Ebay etc. and I know you will be glad you got a second screen when you see how simple it makes life.

I have a small work area, no room for second monitor. I use split screen that is available for Windows 10.

I'm sure Windows 10 is Ideal John! We all have to work within the time, space and affordability available to us.

If you open two or more windows, use the top bar to move one to the upper left corner of the screen. You can work one and read other.

I just don't have room for second monitor. Have an small desk area. My printer is on a shelf above the monitor.

Hooking up 2 screens was much easier than I thought Brenda as all you have to do is a search via Google "How to connect 2 PC monitors" and you get the answer: http://bit.ly/1glFl5u
A bigger desk can simply just be a work surface and I can remember making my first one years ago because I couldn't afford to buy one:-)
Believe me when I say 'It IS much easier when everything is uncluttered". I can lay my hands on a bill, document, file, or photo within seconds if needed. Once you get organised, it becomes so much simpler... just keep everything in the place you have made for it.

You are so right Roger, I'm going to sort my stuff out over the next week or so. Then the mind should be clear too after getting rid of all of that clutter.
You are right Brenda, life is honestly much simpler when you can find anything you want within a matter of seconds.
Just clear ALL your paperwork from your desk every evening and keep adapting that priority list every day.
