Organise Yourself For Success!

Many years ago, I bought a CD called "Organising for Success" and I must admit that it gave me some of the most useful tips on:

  • How to organise my office so as to work in a constructive, non cluttered atmosphere.
  • How to prevent yourself from drowning in a sea of paperwork, emails etc.
  • How to find anything in seconds

All with the aim of reducing stress and working constructively so as to build whatever business we are involved with.

I did exactly as they instructed all those years ago and have kept to the main aim of being organised ever since. Life is much simpler!

Here are a few tips I work by.

  • If you have not already got a filing system in place for household bills etc., get yourself a cardboard A-Z file folder which can either bought very cheaply either on-line or from your local stationer. Keep all & any bills or any other paperwork filed alphabetically within this folder so that you can quickly lay your hands on your latest bill for example should you should get a phone call from a utility company queering your latest bill etc.
  • Do NOT leave any paperwork on your desk. Set up a section within your folder called "Priority" and file all paperwork on your desk every evening into that section so that you can go straight back to it and continue where you left off next day (Session)
  • Likewise, on your PC set up varying folders on your 'Desktop' that relate to your interests such as 'WA' and keep all items within that folder. E.G. Your affiliate link, related pictures, tips from other members, save everything to the WA folder.

(A section of my desktop below)

  • Set up a list of priorities to be done each day in the order of importance and tick them off as you complete each task. Should you not be able to complete all the tasks, simply re-order the tasks and save them for the next day, beginning from the top at the start of each day. Obviously, you can change the order of importance whenever you feel that any item becomes more or less important.
  • Finally, when you feel as though you have achieved all you wanted and your office (Work-space) is as best as you can make it, have a good search round and find everything that you haven't used for years and get rid of it. You have managed without it so far all those years and all it s doing is cluttering up your mind!

Good luck with all you are striving to achieve with Wealthy Affiliate and trust me when I say that you will work much better with an organised mind, once you have organised your work-space.
