Playing Chess Is Like Living Life!
We all think of chess as a board game, it can be so much fun that we tend to devote so much of our life time to them. This is one of the oldest and most competitive games there is.
The earliest predecessor of the game probably originated in India, before the 6th century AD. From India, the game spread to Persia. When the Arabs conquered Persia, chess was taken up by the Muslim world and subsequently spread to Southern Europe.
Romantic chess was the predominant style from the late 15th century to the 1880s. Chess games of this period was more on quick, tactical moves rather than long-term strategic planning. The Romantic era of play was followed by the Scientific, Hypermodern, and New Dynamism eras. in the second half of the 19th century, modern chess tournament play began, and in 1886 the first official World Chess Championship was held. Online gaming, which first appeared in the mid-1990s, also became popular in the 21st century.
Chess remains a highly popular pastime to this day. A 2012 survey found that chess players now make up one of the largest communities in the world: 605 million adults play chess everyday. It is played at least once a year by 12% of British people, 15% of Americans, 23% of Germans, 43% of Russians, and 70% of Indian people.
Life is like a game of chess. Every move and decision you make can either bring you an advantage or a disadvantage.
Even acting upon your wisest and planned decision can bring a negative outcome. Pieces must keep moving though. You win some and you lose some it’s all a part of lifeWe all must make sacrifices at some time or another. You must always expect the unexpected. When making a decision that wasn't well thought out and you lose something because of it, well it teaches you to think twice the next time, to be more vigilant.
You must not regret the decisions you make because every mistake is a lesson. Mistakes are part of our fate. In this fate of ours, our life, our game doesn't end until the king is trapped and we die. Keep playing, as you lose you ironically get better, once you begin winning and continue to do so, you will keep yourself thinking wiser than ever. But even when losses come regardless your best position in the game or life, you accept them as they come. That increases your rating in life in many delightful ways as you continue to grow, you live and you learn that is all a part of life as we know it.
Don’t ever give up on yourself, as we all play the game of chess each day that we live. each movement is Karma, play wisely.

I didn't know the history of Chess. Thank you for sharing that. I have, however, frequently thought that life is like a game of chess. You make the best decision (move) you can with the information and past experiences you have. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not, yet all the way it should be in the end.

Fascinating I did not know that about chess. I also think it takes patience which is also true of building a business. Thanks very much for sharing. Chess and a bit of history rolling into a metaphor and I like metaphors. Phil
