The 2nd Major Session With Chat GPT 4
From YouTube Plans to Action: My Progress So Far
In my last post, I shared how my journey with Wealthy Affiliate had led me to build two websites and start exploring the idea of launching a YouTube channel. My focus was on creating a seamless experience for visitors coming from YouTube, starting with a dedicated landing page. I don’t see the point in creating videos that obviously you hope to take off with great viewing numbers and loads of subs—but not having done anything like this before it certainly sets you off on a journey. But I love it.
And from about the 3rd draft of the landing page, things then have progressed rapidly, and I wanted to share the steps I’ve taken to move closer to my goals, along with the tools and strategies that have made it all possible.
Building the YouTube Landing Page
One of my first big tasks was creating a welcoming and functional YouTube Landing Page. Before asking Mr Chat for help I had come to the conclusion of how important this was. This page is designed to guide viewers from my YouTube channel to the right resources on my site, I think the biggest part of this has been planning the traffic flow in a way that easily allows for expansion or adding anything that I have missed as I have been planning, its comparable to a full-blown business plan minus the advertising section. 🤣
Now this has been produced as a template in WordPress, which was another first for me and another relatively easy task. Much easier than I thought it would be. But it's done in a way to be adaptable, but it's now including:
Beginner tutorials.
Safety needs for crafting and mold-making.
Recommended tools and materials.
By embedding a welcoming video and adding intuitive links to blog posts and directories, the landing page is now a key part of my strategy to connect with my audience.
Expanding the Materials Directory
From there, I turned my attention to creating a comprehensive Materials Directory. This section will become a go-to resource for crafters and professionals alike, still a lot to do in this section and it will be ongoing, but so far it will be providing:
Trusted recommendations for products like silicone, resins, and rubbers.
Guides on choosing the right materials for specific projects.
Links to blog posts and video tutorials for deeper insights.
This directory is not just functional—it’s a way to enhance user experience and increase affiliate earning potential.
Leveraging ChatGPT for Growth
Throughout this process, I’ve been working closely with ChatGPT, which has been an incredible resource for:
Brainstorming Content: From blog posts to video scripts, it’s been my virtual co-creator.
Improving Page Structure: Ensuring every page flows intuitively.
downplayed Helping resolve technical challenges, like reworking my form design and understanding SEO nuances.
The insights and support from ChatGPT have saved me time and helped me think creatively about my website’s potential.
I did ask Chat GPT to write this post outline, but it has downplayed its involvement in my opinion. It has given me CCS code and showed me how and where to put it in the pages or post, and then shown me how to use Registration Magic.
It also helped me design CTA's and locate missing elements.
And yes sometimes these learning experiences, as Jay and especially Eric keep rabbiting on about, take you down a rabbit hole, but I think these are sometimes needed, so you can figure things out in a better way. Mr Chat did not no, but I was querying some of its suggestions on my other computer and with Gemini or Copilot, and I then questioned Mr Chat and changes were made. So it is a process, so unless you are a walking Wikipedia or a Chat GPT 8, you need these enlightenments.
Engaging with My Audience
One surprising discovery was finding 89 subscribers already signed up through my website’s form. This prompted me to improve the design of the form and start planning ways to engage with this audience through newsletters and exclusive updates. This community-building aspect feels like the next natural step. And finding out why I did not know and how I can get a notification will be a task for tomorrow.
Looking Ahead
With so much already in place, here’s what’s coming next:
Launching the YouTube Channel: Quality is key, and I’m committed to making my first videos stand out. And the flow behind it working like clockwork.
Completing the Materials and Tools Directories: These sections will be integral to both my website and YouTube strategy.
Sharing My Journey: Continuing to post updates here on WA to inspire and assist others.
Genuine Thanks
A huge thank you to the Wealthy Affiliate platform, the community and ChatGPT for being invaluable in this journey. WA has provided the foundation, and ChatGPT has helped me navigate challenges and accelerate progress. If you’re curious about how these tools can support your journey, feel free to ask—I’d love to share more!
I know I am close to gaining some serious traction, one of my sites seems to have weathered the Google storm and moving in the right direction, subscribers, (Make a note to oneself, a newsletter needed very soon), and YouTube on the verge of launching.
Let’s keep building and growing together. 😊
