Animated video - is it an effective form of marketing?
Hi all!
I just wanted some feedback from you professionals on whether you think that creating animated video is a worthwhile task.
I'm on a trial with VideoScribe, and have found it to be amazing (once you've got around the layout etc.). I have just made two small videos, one promoting WA, the other Jaaxy.
Please can you have a look at either or both of them and tell me if I'm wasting my time.

Great stuff Rob, as mentioned I've just done a Powtoon and although they can take a while to do they are fun and very engaging for the audience. Like anything it must take time to get it right but that's the challenge with anything.

I prefer VideoScribe to PowToon, as they have a great library (even on the trial) and the interface is good too.
I notice a lot more promotional sites going this direction. I think it is interactive, and if not too long, very engaging. Especially for the up and coming generation that does not enjoy reading as much as other ways to gather information. Just my opinion though! Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!
I was just running a test to prove to myself whether they are worth it or not. Clearly, changes will need to be made - it's only a first attempt!
I think those are pretty cool. I think the trick is to get the graphics / sketches to tell most of the story. You know the 1 picture says 1000 words thing and guide your point with a few words. I guess your creativity will be limited to the strength of the software though.
I loved them. I am at a point where I need to decide "what I want to be when I grow up" (But I don't want to grow up, Daddy) Know that feeling?
I was going to get serious about SEO and write my Jaxxy review now that I think I'm starting to understand keywords and what they are. Learning video software is next on my list. Now the video looks like fun, but I need to stop playing and get to work.
