TIL a lot about wordpress plugins
Today I learned that there are a lot of different wordpress plugins. Ranging from live chat, to memberships to social media, shopping carts, and the extreme secure plugins.
It was very interesting and now I know what's possible with wordpress. Now back to work!

I always recommend caution regarding plugins. WordPress is *opensource* which means anyone is free to develop anything for it. You'll find that some plugins are not compatible with others, some have long since been abandoned by their developers and are not supported, some others have even been deliberately designed to do nefarious things to your site. It's good practice to get a recommendation and then take advice before selecting one. I always have an up-to-date full backup to restore to, test them on a dummy siterubix site first and make sure that they're not "resource hogs" by evaluating their impact on load times using P3 http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/p3-profiler/ :) Rich.
thank you for the advice. I didn't install any or try them out I just was looking to see what was out there and the reviews on them.
No probs. In the majority of cases you can undo most damage by deleting a plugin via FTP. However, that isn't an option for siterubix sites, and unfortunately I've seen cases where a site either gets trashed or completely locked up and the Member hasn't got a back up, so there's nothing that can be done but to tell them to start over. Rich.
yes that's another thing that must be done with anything that goes online. Make a back up! or more!

Rich nailed it. Keep caution with the total number of plugins.
