One thing that comes up often with new members is that in their excitement to get their site up and running, they skip some steps. I'm not assuming that you're doing this; if you're following all the lessons and completing all the tasks, keep it up. But if you've skipped anything, go back and make sure to complete that lesson or task. I can't tell you how many times someone wrote a post, wishing they had followed everything as it's laid out for us in the training.
