It's a Good Start!

Well here I am in week 3 being on WA and so far I like what I see.

Thanks to the members who have reached out, welcomed me, and given me words of support and encouragement. It's a big help to feel part of a team instead of the Lone Ranger in a vast and complicated oline world.

I have been following the training step by step and have a basic website built. I have prior Wordpress experience, but I really like the way the WA system gives a step-by-step blueprint and includes hosting, security and SEO all in one platform. Building my first website prior to joing WA took a LOT of time and research learning all the little details of a site that will attract traffic. In my opinion so far, WA is definitely worth the investment to eliminate all that reserach and trial and error.

I picked a niche that I may or may not stay with. My wife plays bunco with a group of ladies and it seemed like a great niche to try as they are mostly ladies who spend money having bunco parties, so it seemed like a natural for affilating with retail outlets. I am ghost writing it as her and she is helping me with details of the game and the parties they have. I wanted to try a niche from start to finish in the WA program and then use that bluepring for other niches moving forward. We will all see if my strategy is successful! The website is:

My plan is to add lots of content and get the site moving up in search rankings in the first 3 months, then add social media to drive more traffic to the site and see what kind of clicks and $$ it can generate.

I also have an existing (non-WA) site that I am a niche expert in, and want to move it over to WA and apply techniques to build traffic on it.

I am anxiously looking forward to the next phase of the training, how to start monetizing my site. Affilaite marketing (done properly) is not get rich quick money, but is the best for long term growth.

I would highly recommend the Wealthy Affiliate platform to anyone wanting to make money this way, but especially to complete newbies. It is a great step-by-step guide to getting up and running quickly and profitably.
