Keeping Up With The Niches
I've got a great start in my niche. Now I need to spend time connecting with others in my niche as well. I've spent a lot of time in the past few weeks doing that and beginning to get involved with various forums and websites. I've found it very useful to engage with the folks that are writing about and involved with my niche, in this case, Baby Boomers.
I'm having an incredible journey with my "niche-in-laws" :) I keep a list of them in a notebook beside my laptop and try to make sure I'm reading and commenting on their sites and articles. I don't push my site unless I'm invited to submit it. I'm simply engaging with them at this point. I've even had a few of them add me on Facebook and/or Twitter. These are becoming my business community and have given me a sense of purpose and responsibility to ensure I am providing them with authoritative content.
I find that Street Articles has also opened up other doors and allows me to build substance and be authentic with my website and within my niche. It's been a great way to find my voice, often with humor interspersed.
I actually haven't been on WA as much because of needing to develop this side of my business. But I also feel that much more satisfied when I come back here and spend time...it's like coming home...after visiting with "the niches".

I submitted my first article in Street Articles under a pen name, but it hasn't shown on the relevant dashboard. Should I submit it again
Hey, congrats. Has your article been approved? If not, you will get a notification when it has or if it needs more work. There is also SA Support if you need to contact them directly. I'm not sure how it works if you use a pen name.
Love it, Rick! You sound energized! be sure and keep up with the niches... don't let them get away. Julie
I need to do more of this. I need to find more people in my niches too! thanks for this post it was encouraging to me!
Thanks. I enjoy finding them, signing up for their newsletters, sending comments, etc. It's also a great way to stay on top of what's going on within your niche.
