Ker-Ching! - The sound of success!

As much as we like to play ourselves down and not blow our own trumpet too much, I think we can all admit that we are, in some way, motivated by recognition!

Whether it be a pat on the back from someone on the WA community, a well done from a loved one or a "Thank You" from a client. It gives us that warm fuzzy feeling inside that we've craved for as long as we remember!

Now, I like to think that everything I do is aimed at helping other people...It can't all be about the money now can it? ;)

So when I earn from providing a service, that warm fuzzy feeling is not JUST because of the bank balance rising (even slightly), but its because I've provided someone with value. And that is a nice feeling!

So...To help enhance my warm and fuzziness; I made a few changes to my email system. :) :)

Here is what I did in 5 steps:-

1. I set up a separate Gmail account and went into the settings in all my online accounts to direct all commission notifications to the new address.
2. I downloaded "Zedge" on Google Play store and found a "Ker-Ching" notification (I'm an Android user), I think iPhone users have a different app store but any app that has ringtones/notifications will be fine.
3. I went into my Gmail settings and changed the sound notification on my phone to a "Ker-Ching". The loud sound of an old fashioned cash register.
4. I went into the "labels" on my Gmail settings and UN-ticked all of the label options restricting notifications.
5. I saved my settings and I was good to go!!

Now, every-time I earn any online commission, my phone sounds out with a beautiful "Ker-Ching"! And when I say beautiful...I mean BEAUTIFUL!

I go all warm and fuzzy knowing I've provided someone with great value and my Mrs gives me a proud smile knowing that she can keep buying shoes, bags and whatever else she can lay her hands on!

If the sound of success gets your juices flowing, it only takes around 5mins to do it. I think it was 5mins well spent.
