One Month In

Hi Guys, so here we are again.

If you saw my previous post you will know I have committed to giving a monthly update as to my progress (or otherwise) with my website.

I for one find these kind of posts interesting, especially ones that turn into success stories. So, particularly for newbies out there, I am hoping to help and inspire with these updates.

Anyway, if you remember, my website was born on 15th September and I can now report on its first full month of life. That is 15th September - 14th October.

Initial Goals

Very simple - Religeously follow the training in the 'Hubs' and publish one blogpost a day. The idea being to lay down a foundation of posts which I would go back to and edit/improve as and when I have the foundation in place.

So here are the cold hard facts:

• Period in question = 30 days.
• Published posts = 26
• Of those 26 posts, 21 have been indexed by Google.
• And most encouraging, I started to get impressions, literally on the 14th October.

So, all in all, mission accomplished. On the subject of impressions, it was only 10 but it is a start and I can give a sneak report the next few days have seen an increase. More of that next month.

The Month Ahead

• To continue to publish a post a day.
• Begin to bulk write allowing me to free up time to to allow me to begin the editing process.
• Begin to introduce internal linking to keep any visitors on the site longer.

One Last Thing

On the 17th October, I fired up another website I had started and abandoned in April of last year. It was a very new site so essentially is being reborn. I will keep you updated on this one too.

My current focus is on my headline site and will continue to be until I have built in some inertia. I will then increase attention onto this 2nd site.
