So Many Ties!
I really do like everything that is involved in the battle to the top, but I'm having a whole lot of trouble trying to figure out how it all ties together. I mean, it may be just me, but this is where I'm at right now. I know that all of this comes together in some kind of way, but HOW?
I'm talking about our websites, social media, Google analytics, comments, ranking, affiliate programs, SEO, the whole kitten caboodle, and it makes me Àaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggggg!!!!!! I'm really racking my brain trying to see how it all ties in there together. Everyone else can log in, and know exactly what to do to make their business flourish, and How. But me, well I just log in and do what I THINK that I'm supposed to do to make my business flourish. Separately, I know about each of those things, but I don't know what each one has to do with the other. So technically, l believe I'm lost.
I have a website up, but with all the different ways to monetize it, it overwhelms me so much to the point that I am just lost. Does anybody know what I mean?
Then there is the ranking. I understand that the more you work and are active in the community, your rank number goes down. ( I said, I think, correct me if I'm wrong). I was very active in the community for about four days straight, and my rank number went from 261 to 324, does that mean that I wasn't active enough?
Well this is what's been on my mind for quite some time now, but not a day goes by that I'm not trying to figure out how it's all tied together. My goal is to do this before I somehow screw up my site. Thanks for reading! :)

I put little value in the WA ranking because it has nothing to do with your learning, just another WA promotion. On the tech stuff... take it one piece at a time.

Personally I follow the training. I'm not too concerned about my ranking here at WA! So far every questions I had has been covered in the training. I'm on course 4 lesson 7.

I have been where you are now, and what you need to do is go back to lesson one and start over follow the lesson the way that they are given and do not skip anything and as far as your rankings go do not be concerned about them I have been here since 2014 and I am still at 335 follow the lessons and apply and you will know how it all ties in and you can be successful all the best max
You know, I have gone back to lesson one and reread everything and I found that I misunderstood a lot, so that really did help me and I have a better outlook on some things. Thank you for your advice! :)
Yes Retha, I hear you. That's where I'm at too. I just posted a question to address exactly what you explained. I'm trying to run before I can walk and am thinking it's because I need to limit my time to each aspect so that I can fathom all the steps so it will come together for me? I hope? Instead of looking at my ranking...I'm ranking myself at the end of the day by visiting what I accomplished for the day and I'm finding that I'm trying to understand everything instead of applying the steps. Sound's like we are riding the same canoe? I'm now using a timer and limiting the time I spend on subjects to force myself to take breaks so I don't get overwhelmed.
I think that that's where my problem lies. I'm focusing too much on my ranking. I mean, I want a small number like a lot of people here but you say that ranking doesn't matter? OK, this helps, thank you very much!
I also don't understand the ranking myself. Just a couple of days ago my rank was 749 and the next minute it was 803, but I'm not as active as I could be in the community either. If you're lost about the other things as far as comments, social media, etc., the good thing is that there is always unlimited support in the live chat and also a lot of training.

Hey Retha don't worry about the ranking in WA, help when you can, but your business should come first.
You're main focus should be to succeed at your business and I know you can.
I want you to look at Marc's training. It has a lot of info in there, but it's great info. I also think you should make goals for yourself like Marc has in his training.
I felt he laid out great goals that a lot of members in WA should check out.
When I started here and Kyle would have a take a break in one of his courses, What I did with that time is, I use to find members that have been inside WA for years and just read some of their tips and training. There are a lot of exceptional marketers here in WA.
When I read Marc's training, I felt that it was spot on for people to reach goals. Check it out, I think what he put together will lay out what you may want to get done. :) 4 X Search Engine Traffic In 4 Days!
Great advice Evelyn! Now that I know that my ranking is not a big concern, I can focus on what's really important, My Business. I guess I was afraid that if my ranking get too bad, then maybe there was some sort of penalty. Boy am I relieved! And I definitely will check out this training of Marc's, as I need all the help that I can get! :) I also will check out the tips and training of those who have been here for years, that is also great advice.
