Baby Steps

Anyone who has had the privilege of raising children will know what baby steps are. I remember when my cute little curly haired girls started to take their first wobbly steps. "Wait for it....wait for it..... oh! She's up! One step.... starting to wobble....two steps.....oh no!... oh no!,,,,,BOOM!"

My eldest daughter would sit and cry and required her mommy's arms and gentle consoling before she would realize she wasn't hurt. Her little pride was injured, after all! She would then decide to crawl for awhile before attempting to get up on those dangerous scary legs again.

When daughter number two started to walk, it was another story. She would get herself back up and try at it again and again, determined to reach that toy she was after in the first place (or get into my purse or whatever else happened to catch her eye). That toddler was a force to be reckoned with!

Life is full of baby steps....we each choose how we react to them. And, yes, we all fall at some point. How we react is defined by our personality traits, our up-bringing, and the challenges that have fallen in our path.

My parents always taught us that we can do whatever we put our minds to if we have enough determination. As an adult, I have learned that isn't always the case. Making smart decisions along the way helps, as well as a little luck, or karma, or faith or whatever you want to call it.

Like those first baby steps, I am determined to learn the success of online marketing. I am doing this! Whatever fails I may encounter, I am determined to get back up and try again. Just....one....baby.....step.....at......a......time.
