Internal Struggles - Anyone Have Some Experience to Share?
Hey all I've been a bit slower maybe than some to get through all of the training on the site - crazy amount of great training here and I hope I've been getting that across to everyone in my site pages and posts! Trying to resist the urge to skip ahead too, because I know that will come back to haunt me.
Along the way I've been spending time on getting my site to look more attractive and to get some content on it. My site is http://retirement-is-achievable.com, stop by and check it out if you have a minute!
My site is about taking a step back from the day-to-day and taking action do some planning for retirement - and to take control of your life and spending habits, so that you can actually follow through and meet your retirement goals. It is also a WA promotion site, so I'm using both the Certification training and the Bootcamp training sort of in tandem.
So, my site really is about information, rather than having a product focus.
Lately I've been struggling internally about whether or not to switch my focus to a different niche as I just don't see as much opportunity to monetize my current one, as there might be with one that is more product-based. With the holidays coming up I feel like I might be missing out on a huge opportunity to get some income flowing, and that is something I greatly need at the moment!
So, if anyone has any suggestions for me on how to better monetize my current site I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks and best of everything to all!
Randy

I haven't looked into any of this, but I would like you could find travel agencies, rv parks, etc. that work affiliate relationships. Tour companies, entertainment center.... all those kinds of things. I would focus on activities for retirees.
I think it takes time with any site to start seeing income flowing in. Not that I can advise but I have always found that focusing on one thing at a time is best. If you are already quite far into you site creation it may be worth staying on track rather than starting from scratch. If you are really struggling for content and you have not yet built the site out too much then you may find it easier to change.
Thanks - yes so far that has been what I've been doing. My site is up and running pretty well now and I'm really not struggling too much for content, just not seeing a lot of organic traffic yet ... hopefully it will come!
Thanks again!

Yes I've learned a TON with this first site, and now am starting on another one that is more product-related. We'll see what happens! I remain totally excited about the opportunity and know it is only a matter of time (well, and effort!).
