Does this blissful week have to end?
So... I'm on vacation this week...at home, which has proven to illustrate how blissful it is NOT to be tied down to the 8-5 routine...which is what I'm on vacation from.
Part of what is making this week so enjoyable, is the weather! It's been almost unseasonably warm...for early May standards. It's more mid June weather, temperature-wise. The sunny skies and warm breezes have emphasized how wonderful working from home can be.
I've not done much with my site this week...outside of posting a new article last weekend. But being free to get some needed stuff done around the house, plus going to the gym at a NORMAL time during the day...as opposed to having to wait until the pre-dinner rush to go...is another slice of bliss-pie :-)
I, like (probably) you too...joined WA with the intention of making THIS type of lifestyle, a little more permanent. The site makes money...but is miles away from providing me with a stay-at-home income.
So here I am... still working diligently to make my website a fun and informative place to visit, but also still stuck in an 8-5 cage, which will make me yearn for THIS week again (probably even more) once I return.
What would be YOUR strategy to keep the bliss alive if you were me? And if you're already in that blissful state...do you have any suggestions?
Cheers! Ben.

Some people say to "Take Baby Steps" and you'll eventually get to your goal.
Some people say "Slow and Steady Wins the Race".
Well, I prefer to go with the Snail.
We'll all get there in the end - I say with a positive attitude and confidence.

Thanks Jane. I've "plunged" into things in the past that haven't worked out...so I guess the baby step philosophy has been the one I've followed most often.
Just came back from one. Wifey had it all planned out. Long story short, I need another one. Lol. Hey Ben, Always start with the end in mind, like you are doing, and before you know it, your destination would be right in front of you.
Jim Rohn said it best. We need to stop building foundations foundations foundations, and start putting up walls, and eventually roof. My goal is to stay with WA, as my roof, until the end and see all my WA family in Vegas every year. Peace!
Love the post! I've been on blissful vacation since I escaped the regular working world back in 2012. Doing what you love, and keeping your priorities where they need to be brings true bliss. Tons of time with family, flexibility, and joy in what I do!
You're a lucky man Dan! I'm sure it didn't happen without prioritizing and setting a few goals. Happy summer to you!
I am also on vacation this week. I only have two more weeks to work 9 to 5. I am working here to supplement my retirement income, which will be the same gross as when I worked. Getting a new routine is going to take several weeks I think, but I am going to give it a go. I hope to start helping people more here. Be patient it will work for you in time. Don't ever give up.
