One Brick at a Time
Ok, its Sunday and I am just a few days into my membership of Wealthy Affiliate. I have been around the online marketing scene for some time and done my share of buying into useless systems and memberships. But overall, things have worked well and I have made a little money, enough to keep me afloat while I have traveled Ireland, the USA, China, the Philippines, and Bulgaria. Yes, I like travel.
At the moment I am sitting in what is probably the smallest house you can imagine, in a town called Llanelli, in Wales, UK. To say this double L thing involves a lot of spitting and mouth gymnastics. Its been a warm day here in Wales, not something we have been used to recently.
But today is not memorable because of the weather. Today I upgraded my account to premium. Probably the first time I have EVER upgraded anything to premium so its a remarkable endorsement of the Wealthy Affiliate system.
I have to say that I am very impressed with the site. It has a lot of cool features and already I sense it has a great community, which is important. Being an online marketer can be a lonely existence (especially if you are working from a log cabin in the woods, in temperatures of minus 25).
Ok, there are things on the site I personally don't need. The web builder is a bit superfluos for me as I have a reseller hosting account and can make WordPress websites in my sleep, but I duly tried it out and have to admit its pretty good.
In about three weeks I hit the offical retirement age and I will be starting my preperations to go back to the philippines where I will spend my retirement. And that's why I am here. I am looking to set up a coupe of good websites to generate a nice passive income to supplement my pension while I live in the Philippines, my favourite country of all those I have visited.

I felt the same when I first started because I had other things I was doing online and still host off WA with my main site, but I have some new domains I bought here because I earn credits anyway so my domains are pretty much free and so I use the hosting for the new sites I'll be building here.
I still work on my one site for now until I have reached my ultimate goal with it, then I want to start a new niche which I can't wait for.
What was gold for me in the WA training is to learn how to blog properly and use affiliate marketing with it. I never learned keywords properly and the tools here that go with that would cost more than our Premium membership elsewhere, that's why I love this platform so much.
Just wait til you check out Jay's weekly live webinars which are on Fridays, but you can check out the archives which you can play on demand, there are lots of great info there too.
I do hope you will find the training here valuable and for your needs.

Thanks Grace, Yes, there are so many things to learn. However long you have been doing this and however old you are, you can never stop learning. You seem very determined to succeed. I am very impressed.
