Well, basically in FOREX, it is about currency exchange. For example, the Pound against the Euro (GBR/EUR) will gain or lose value - the price fluctuates literally every second. As a FOREX trader, you basically analyse patterns and decide whether you want to take a "long" trade (price increases) or a "short" trade (price decreases.) You then set an amount you want to trade, and then each "pip" or "point" represents a certain value. If, for example, you put a long trade on a pair at £1 a pip, and the price for that pair increases by 100 pips, you are looking at £100 made. That is it in very vague and simple terms but that is roughly the idea. :)
Risky business. It's a gamble, basically. I prefer the Casino to bet on coin flips. At least I have some fun while doing it.
