Proposed end of year spending bill affecting small online retailers

Please add your voice to the proposed end of year spending bill being considered by Congress which could unfairly impose burdensome compliance requirements on small businesses and entrepreneurs such as WealthyAffiliates.

The Marketplace Fairness Act (MFA) and its companion bill, the Remote Transactions Parity Act (RTPA) is written to subject small businesses (like yours), to audits and enforcement by faraway state tax enforcement agencies. These requirements would impact the competitiveness of small businesses by holding them to the same tax burden standard as large retail businesses that have teams of lawyers, and facilities across the country. It would make small online retailers adhere to tax laws in more than 9,600 tax jurisdictions.

Attached is a form which will be created for you to contact your congressman and let them know your feelings on this. Thank you for your participation!

Does this affect non americans?

If they work and operate in America or as an American business ...yes

If you live and work outside America , even if you affiliate or trade with America..it won't affect you as you are responsible for taxes of your country of residence and from where your business is based ..saying that you will need to fill in and submit your tax forms to any American company you affiliate with ...if you don't you will nor get paid or will be taxed hugely

Always check and ensure you are tax complaint

Hi Jason,
Thanks for your feedback from a U.K. resident.

Hi Angry Rabbit,
Thanks for your question. I believe Jason below has you covered with the answer.

Thanks Jason. I find the whole tax thing very confusing and most of the affiliates I'm with don't make it easy either. One didn't make me fill in any tax forms at all. When I asked about it they just said I was accepted and was good to go.

Here we go again, government pouncing on the "little" guy because we don't have much of a defence! How about all of us getting together, build a website to that respect and tell them where to go! There is an election coming up, isn't there! Everyone should let both of them know, the Republican as well, as the Democrats what we really think about "politicians". In your country as well, as in mine it is about time we get rid of the whole caboodle of the "old guard" and get some new blood into politics! We just elected the son of the guy who put our country into debt so deep we can't get air anymore!
WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH PEOPLE? Baseball, hockey, football more important then our lives?

Mike,
I am in 100% agreement with you!

He,he! Cheek in mouth, isn't that what they say? I am not so sure about :sayings in English! But I meant what I said!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend Randell!
