How to Make a Passive Income Online - Super Affiliate Challenge Update
This phrase, how to make a passive income online, has got to be one of the most over-used phrases in the affiliate marketing arena. Everyone in the IM space these days seems to have a different take on what passive income actually is. Plus, many marketers try and capitalize on this term in order to sell over-priced products related to this ever expanding industry.
As I enter my second month of the super affiliate challenge, I am getting a more clear picture of what passive income is all about. I am starting to realize that the end goal is truly passive income.
So, What Exactly is Passive Income Anyways?
Like I mentioned above, there seems to be differing views of what passive income actually is. I can tell you from experience what it is not. It is not making an income without working. I think this is one thing that some marketers think. That somehow they can purchase the secret to obtaining passive income without actually doing any work.
Well, we all know, that really is not the case. But, many of us still for for the "push button" affiliate product that will somehow show us this path. But, as I mentioned, let's go ahead and consider this not to be true and give up trying to look for it. It only distracts us from what it truly is.
As I go through in faith with the Super Affiliate Challenge I am starting to really get the fact that the more content you publlish, the more likely you are to rank in Google and the other search engines. And, when you do it right, based on low hanging fruit keywords as taught here at Wealthy Affiliate, you WILL eventually rank for many keyword phrases that drive "passive traffic" to your website.
The real "secret bullet" is ...... Ready?.......... Wait for it.......
DOING THE WORK AND NOT GIVING UP
So, for those of you who are not in the Super affiliate challenge, what I have learned by the second month is that the challenge itself, which is to actually write about 12 or so posts per month utilizing the methods taught here at Wealthy Affiliate and following the training step by step and being extrememly patient. That is it!
I have finally figured it out. I know it sounds crazy, and I am surprised to hear myself say it, but in reality, the more I write, the more I see my pages and posts rank for the keyword phrases I am trying to rank for.
Granted, my site is over a year old and I did abandon it for a while, but now that I am writing consistantly I am seeing the fruit of my labor.
So, in my opinion, passive income really and truly is this....... Ready?.......Wait for it......
PASSIVE TRAFFIC!
Regardless if you are doing a niche site or the bootcamp, it really doesn't matter, the final goal and outcome from all of this training we are getting here in this amazing community of Affiliate Marketers is the ability to learn how to generate Passive traffic to our websites for FREE. That is the secret "magin bullet".
Once you have passive traffic, you simply need to put in place a good and clear call to action and lead that passive traffic to a good and honest affiliate offer. Again, whether that be to an Amazon affiliate product, Clickbank product, or a WA referral. The end goal is the same.
Plus, once you get this free passive traffic to your site, you can monitor which pages are giving you the best results. Now that you know which pages or posts are giving you the best results, you can then scale up with paid traffic and really explode your business. I am almost to the point where I am ready to do this. When you get to phase 6 of the affiliate bootcamp, you can really learn how to scale up your business.
Anyways, that is a different topic altogether and I am rambling...
But, the point is that passive income is generated when you reach the point where your traffic is coming in passively through the search engines for good keyword phrases. Then you start generating an income from pages and posts that you wrote a while back. This is when you start to see the fruit of your labor. Then the real exciting part is you will see this traffic for a long time.
From the Bootcamp training you can learn how to generate a consitant and totally passive income from WA itself. This is extremely exciting because this is also recurring income. So, imagine, if you will, passive traffic to your Bootcamp site generating passive income that pays you recurring commissions.

If you are already a premium member, and you are going through the Bootcamp training, keep going through the course and try and write at least 12 posts a month. If you follow the training step by step you will definitely succeed.
