888 hours at Wealthy Affiliate - what I have achieved?

Why my first blog post within Wealthy Affiliate took so long - 888 hours?

It's simple. That's because I was busy, and carried away with the feeling that I learn so much every time I open my Wealthy Affiliate profile. It is so easy to spend all the spare time you have here on training, reading other member blogs, and do the pay forward tasks. Everything seems so well-placed and laid out, that you really get what you came here for, the feeling of getting somewhere, gaining knowledge and improving yourself 1% per day.

What I have achieved so far?

While I am no different from most of you guys, who have 9-5 jobs, I am a bit lucky that I can spend some time during my workdays also focusing on WA. But sometimes it bites back, and my 9-5 turns into much more than that. But in spite of it I have:

  1. Become a Premium member in 4 hours after sign up (it was no brainer after looking through the site and understanding what you get for the price);
  2. Finished OEC Level 1 & 2 Training - (OK, Level 2 actually has 1 task outstanding, but it was my decision not to do it at that very moment, but rather continue with Level 3 already);
  3. Decided on 2 niches (both have their domains set up as well), but currently working towards one (as I don't want to fix my mistakes in two places, as I move forward).
  4. Felt in love with writing... so much that my first proper blog post was almost 2k words, and it got indexed in few days.

What are my near future plans?

  • Get into habit of writing frequently;
  • Complete remaining OEC trainings;
  • Become more Out of The Box thinker when doing Keyword research;
    • I've noticed that when I do so, it happens more easily, and keywords I find are of better quality (that's according to Jaaxy numbers);
  • finish tweaking website so I would be proud to show it to my closest people;
    • while content is king, looks are queen and my kingdom needs both;

What are my long term plans?

  • Put in 10'000 hours;

While it is just one point, it implies much more than pure hours: that covers persistence, getting through obstacles, celebrating achievements and much more.

And yes I count my sleep hours in these 10 thousand hours as I go to sleep, and wake up with thoughts of what and how I should do next.

Thank you all!

I have 0 regrets of what I have done so far here, this place seems to be the best of all that I could possibly stumble upon to really get going with my dream. Could only wish, that this did happen few years ago, when I was considering exactly the same, just wasn't lucky enough to find Wealthy Affiliate with it's well laid out system (Thank you, Kyle and Carson) as well as such a brilliant community who got me inspired and stick with my dream this time.

Thank you all and keep in touch!

Goodnight

Hi Uldis,

Seems that you have a well laid out plan, my I make a suggestion if I may.

Spend more time adding content because it will help you get better rankings from the search engines, which will help attraction more visitors, and this will increase your odds of making money faster and more often.

While the looks of your site are equally important, the navigation of it and the content on it will lead to success faster than if it looks pretty or not. The search engines can not see your site, but they can read what is on it

Remember there is no sense in waxing the floors of a new house until all the walls are up.

Good luck,

Calvin

Thank you Calvin!

Yes 100% agree with you, main focus is still content. Then navigation and looks.

Have a great day!

Well said!

Thank you for writing this. It is inspiring to read and so very true.

We are very fortunate to have found the WA community. It is all about consistency when creating your business.

Slow and steady wins the race!

Have a great morning!
