What A Lousy Week
Introduction
Good Evening to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.
As always my thanks to you all for your kind comments regarding my wife's health.
The title for this week's blog says it all. So will leave the detail for the next section.
The Last Few Days
On Monday my wife had just a bowl of porridge and one cup of Cappuchino, when I realised this when I awoke on Tuesay morning, I made a decision which I knew my wife would hate me for, I was going to call the paramedics.
This I did, when they arrived, my Daughter-in-Law was there to help me, the result which took three hours to achieve, saw my wife being taken to hospital. Her parting words were that I would never be forgiven, but her health is more important to me.
Since she has been in hospital she has been seen by a number of specialists, before I go into detail, my wife has a growth on her face, which she has refused to either see a Doctor about, or have treatment on.
The latest update is that tomorrow the ENT team are seeing her, on Friday she has biopsy, also a MRI scan is on the list, the daft thing is that when the Doctor took her through all this, she readily agreed and signed the conent form.
Up until yesterday I was fairly pleased with her progress, today I just could not believe the change in her, she was made to stay in bed as she was so weak, has refused all food, and her growth bled quite heavily, which has led to her blood level dropping.
Our youngest Grandson wanted to go and see his Nan, so I took him this afternoon, bless him he was really shaken by what he saw. This is not really a surprise as both the lads think the world of her, especially since whe looked after them both in their early years so that their Mothers could both work.
You will not be surprised that as I spend every Afternoon at the hospital, the morning doing the chores, by the time that the evening comes around all I want to do is sink into my chair and watch television. The first couple of nights I saw the start of a film, then watched the credits roll, I had dropped off!!
The business has been virtually non-existant, as has the garden, but getting my wife better is what matters.
Though I did look at a few thoughts this morning, which gave me a little heart.
The Next Few Days
No doubt the hospital visits will take up a lot of time, also have Remembrance this weekend, will need to alter my Hospital visit on Sunday, think that I will go stright from the Afternoon Parade and service.
Regarding the business, do have some ideas which I will have a look at, but it really is slowly, slowly at the moment.
Conclusion
Think that aforesaid covers just about anything that I can think about.
Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy,
Please do sstay safe.
God Bless
Stuart

Well VH, a lousy week indeed!!!! I'm glad to hear you have your focus in the right place though. It has to be emotionally hard as well as tiring for you to keep up with everything. Make sure YOU are eating and getting some rest as well. She'll need you even when she gets home and you won't be any good to anyone if you're not up to speed health wise.
SO, take care and I will continue to pray for her and that this week is better.
Always
Your VW
Hi VW,
You are quite right it is both mentally and physically draining.
Yesterday during my visit she was taken for a check on her eye, I kept trying to dose!! After nearly two hours of waiting for her to come back, I was told at least another hour, so I left!
When my daughter and dil went last night, my wife said that I had not been all day, but remembered my son-in -law going!!
I am eating and sleeping at night, do have the odd bad one, caused by worry!!
In fact I have my lunch ready, I am not sure what I will have tonight as yet, But do have ready meals and will go shopping when I have been to Hospital.
Have a Legion meeting tonight so I will be able to relax and chat.
You also take great care.
As always
Your VH

It is at times like this Jessie that I really appreciate the WA Family, you are all truly wonderful.
Hi Stuart,
Sorry that you had a lousy week. I can understand and relate. I too did not have a good past few weeks.
You've been going through a very challenging time with your wife's health. It's clear how much you care for her and are doing everything you can to ensure she gets the best care possible.
For me, I have been navigating, and still am today and possibly for the next few weeks or months, with grace and silence. I hope you can find peace amidst the chaos.
I wish you and your wife good health.
Tim

You've had a hard week, and hope you are feeling better, as it must be draining to be so concerned about your wife. I hope she improves, as I'm sure that will be helpful to you as well.
Draining is about right, as well as being very concerned, but many thanks for your kind thoughts.
