Too Nice Too Work!
Introduction
Good morning to all you lovely peple at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well!
The title is a little tongue in cheek, made my plans for the day, checked that the plants in pots outside the jitchen on the stands were OK, as I debated if I should go all the way down the garden stood in the sun soaking up the rays. Then made a decision, not only would I not start working on the garden, I would relax and take it easy for a change. What is that old saying:
"Too much work and not enough play makes Jack a dull Boy!"This meant that all I really had to do today, write my blog and make Lunch, new plan sorted, so thought that I would start my words to you all, before I begin to prepare Lunch. It is nice and easy today, Roast Chicken followed by Plum Tart. Washed down with a chilled and crisp Chardonnay! could just treat myself to cheese and biscuits afterwards.
The Past Few Days
Have actually been quite busy, either in the garden or on the business. Fetched some blackberries in from the wild brambles, intended to make a crumble, instead we eneded up having them over a couple of days with ice cream, they were very nice. Whilst in the garden noticed lots more to pick, so last night filled not one, but two pyrex dishes full of Blackberries. This morning I notice that even more have ripened, will have to seriously cull these brambles, they are starting to get in the way.
The plants which I odered for the flower bed arrived yesterday, in good condition and a nice selection, this gives me a mere twenty five plants to put in. If it all goes well could just be a really nice show next year. Have just got to clear the area of weeds before i plant them out.
Regarding the business have done some work getting ready for the restored website, including watching some video training, I will be able to use the odd clip on my website if I so choose.
Whilst I have been assembling items to use, read somewhere of not just doing one website with offers content and freebies, but doing at least two, complete with affilate links and other bits and pieces. This set me thinking Sometime ago I did a lot of work on a website, full of content, for some reason I have let it slide, it might be an idea when I get the revisited site up and running to get the old site back working, but we will see.
Continue to do some training, or I should say reminding myself of what I have forgotten.
The Next Few Days
How I feel at the moment I really do not know where I will concentrate my efforts on, it will just depend on my mood, could really do with a holiday!
Only have day planned for next week that is on Thursday, when we having a VJ Service at the local War Memorial.
Conclusion
Not a bad week considering my health has not been brilliant, but I just keep plodding on!!

The blackberries sound excellent, and I'm envious of your garden achievements. I could use some new plants in my flower beds. Perhaps next year.
Too busy writing.
Seems like a perfect day! I have animals flying in, walking in and tunneling in to eat everything I grow. There’s enough for everyone I guess. The tunneling ones are a nuisance though and they take the whole plant if it’s new. It’s so good to be able to grow your own food. I’d love to see pictures of your garden.

I think you talk about food you're making just to torment me. 🤣 Everything you make sounds good. I love chicken. My mother stopped asking me what I wanted for dinner because I always said some kind of chicken. My parents liked variety.
Those blackberries sound good AND bring back memories. There was a place by our cottage that had TONS of blackberries. We'd each have a bucket to pick. I'd pick with my dad as I was like his shadow. My mother would have a bucket fill in no time and me and my dad each had about 1/2 BUT we had eaten as many as we picked. Our colored faces could tell no lies but my mother would get very angry and threaten to not make pie. Her pie was GOOD too. So, that's a nice trip down memory lane.
I'm glad you had another week with a good balance between work and play. I mean, we ARE retired. We should have time for play right?
I have a lot to do around the house before I leave for NY Sunday. I'm trying to get a fence and get 2 of my bathrooms fixed. Never a dull moment!
So, you have a wonderful and productive week again this week. Remember you can freeze some of those berries!

Hi VW,
Forgot about freezing the berries, culled some brambles last night, as the fridge is overflowing with berries.
Sorry about the food, but I do enjoy cooking, though it can get in the way of other things, like business, the garden, washing, ironing, cleaning not forgetting the shopping!! These are jobs that I have to make sure are done and you will understand why!!
So you are off to NY again, do take care and drive safely, how long for this time!!
The weather is a little mixed here, but we just accept it do we not!!
