Still Weary
Introduction
Good evening to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.
As always it has been a strange week in many ways, but it has surprised me just how hard work it is looking after some that you care about, and, who is not at all well. To put it mildly we have had a few scares this week.
However I will keep you in suspense for a few minutes longer, it adds to the suspense, OK, I feel a little litary tonight!!
The Last Few Days
The main event of this week has been the fact that Yvonne has had one or two difficult days, forget which days they were , she had a bad bleed from the tumour which I managed to stem, then yesterday she had an even worse one. I had to have a close look and found to my horror it was a real shocker the large pool od blood had congealed, I then found even more, so I dialled the para medics, to be told at least four hours, phoned my nurses, told how to check the bleeding, wonder of wonders I managed to stem the flow.
When the carers arrived around an hour later, they foukd a large deposite of puss had leaked, they were concerned but I was not, as I was used to a blled followed by a leakage of puss, fortunately that is all we have had since then, but it does cause you to worry.
This afternoon she did ask me to dry up some of the bllod that was around her mouth, this I was able to do as I the saline solution and guaze. What saddened me was the sight of extra tumours which have now appeared around her mouth, she is in such a mess, bless her. But she rarely compains, only if hot water bottle goes cold and I have missed the single, this is simply Yvonne holding the bottle without speaking I now know this means just fill this now.
Should know these signs after 55 years. having a laugh keeps me sane.
My dson, daughter and daughter-in-law came this afternoon, amongst the things we discussed was when I was going shopping, Decided on Thursday, then off to the presentation night for the local ATC, which get invited to every year. It is so good of them and is very much appreciated, as it will also do a power of good.
Have had a look at some things on the different web sites which I have, it looks like some really good stuff, but will be a while before I an get started, but at least it gives me some food for thought when I have a minute. In fact if I am honest I am beginning to get excited once more.
Also had a walk round the garden this afternoon, came up with some ideas to get it sorted once again when I have time.
The Next Few Days
This really is a guessing game as it will depend on the health of Yvonne, which is going to be anyone's guess, we can but hope that she continues not to suffer.
Be happy, healthy and wealthy.
Please stay safe,
Take care,
God Bless.
Stuart

Still weary??? I'm sure you are!!!! I commend you for what you're doing. I do NOT think I could handle that. I had a hard time just reading about the blood. I had to read fast and move on. It takes a special person to do all you're doing.
I'm glad to hear you are getting a little break. You deserve one! It must be so hard with a loved one yet 24/7 is a lot of time to care for someone.
Do take a minute or 2 out of the day for YOU.
Will continue sending prayers your way.
Always
Your VW
