Introduction

Good Evening to all you lovely people at the WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

Despite my good intentions, have achieved very little this week due to constant interuptions of one thing or another. Nearly called this week's effort "Bits and Pieced", this would also have been a fair reflection on what has not really happened.

Had planned on doing a fair amount today, but last night had a mail inviting me to attend the Freedom Parade of my old Air Training Corps Squadron, of which I am also the Legion Liason Officer. It would appear that my original invitation had got lost.

It turned out to be a very nice event. Stood with the Chair of the Local Council on the saluting Base and accompanied him on the inspection.

He asked to do an Act of Remembrance for the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War also those in the Ukraine, this I was honoured to do.

The Past Few Days

Every time I thought that I had sometime to do some work something managed to crop up

Do know that I was expecting to have other items to do, apart from the business, including plsnting up the plug plants. even this went wrong, as it was Thursday before I was able to do the Geraniums, by then another two dozen bedding plants had arrived, during the potting up had to contend with hail stones for a few moments, who said that Spring had arrived?

Alll these interuptions meant that I had to scale back what I had intended to do. Managed to get onto the website, forgot that I can run a store from it, so have had a look at my books once more to see what can be used, or indeed is ready to use, Will need to look at the products which I have as well.

This has included my colouring books, many of which are still to be loaded into covers.

Did have a few brief moments to look at both my Autobiography and the Family Tree, only because I knew that it could be done in a few minutes.

Have got a Newsletter almost ready for when I want to attack it to my list.

The Next Few Days

It is apparent that things have gone badly wrong, however will attempt to rectify that this week, need to sit back and have a long look at the basics once more. Trying to do too much, no doubt, but must set up some baby steps and goals once more, managed to get off the beaten track.

Feel that it is time to prioritise things once more, it was working before, so must get back to basics.

Think that this quote sums up the week.

Conclusion

In many ways a dissapointing week, but that I will just have to acceot and hope that things go better in the next few days, am aware that it will soon be the cricket season once more, which does reduce my available time.

Did forget to mention that I was able to do a little in the garden, this did cheer me up, seeing the blossom from my two Magnolias, and flowering cherries, also the lovely bright colours of the Primulas,Polyanthus,Pansies and the Spring Bulbs, cheered me up no end.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy,

Please do tstay safe.

God Bless

Stuart

Hey VH

Welcome to the club. My week went just about the same. It seems that no matter how early I get up, something always happens to fill that extra time I THOUGHT I would have.

Such is the life of a retiree yet sometimes it gets frustrating and I do wish we could have longer days. However, I know some people who can't even stand to have a weekend away from work. I've known people that hate retirement because they have NO idea how to fill their day and they end up dying young. Of course, young is always relative.

With that said, let's consider ourselves blessed that we do still have a purpose, take a deep breath and move forward doing as much as possible on any given day. It's all good.

Hang in there. ENJOY that garden. It's been cold and rainy here too. This seems to be the weirdest Spring. Hot one day with windows open then hail the next with the heat on. I just wish Mother Nature would figure out how to regulate her meds!!!!! 🤣

Take care and have a good week
Your VW

Hi VW,

A really interesting and thoughtful post, so much is so true.

Despite a slightly better start to the week. today has nearly gone totally pear-shaped. Went to the opticians this morning before my weekly shop, knew my eyes were not good, but did not expect to be told could need surgery on one of them.

Have to go back in the morning for more tests, have to walk as he does not want me driving until after the tests.

It just never rains, but it pours, funny to relate it is doing just that at the moment.

That is enough of my troubles. lol.

It will depend on the results tomorrow, but feel that I will have too start reducing the workload on the computer.

Hope that you are keeping well, have a great week.

As always

Your VH

Some weeks are just that way. We have all sorts of good intentions and then life gets in the way.

Just keep moving in the right direction, and everything should sort itself out in time.

Many thanks for your comments.

It sure sounds like you have been busy, Stuart!

Jeff

Always am Jeff!!

Then that is a GOOD thing, Stuart!

Jeff

Like to think so Jeff.

Stuart

You bet it is, Stuart!

Jeff

It's easy to get sidetracked, but sounds like you've had a lot of important distractions. The Freedom Parade sounds great!

Susan

Thanks Susan, the Freedom Parade was great.

Stuart

Nice to hear about the Freedom Parade, glad you enjoyed it!

Certainly did Joe.

:)

Another question for you. Do you prefer Stuart as most use or Edwin which I use. I try to use people's real names.

Thanks for asking Joe, I am a fifth generation Edwin, but always been known as Stuart.
