Introduction

Good Evening to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well!

This week has been a funny one in more ways than one, but not a bad one, or indeed a total disaster.

The Last Few Days

As I mentioned last week I had a set back with my new project, decided to give myself a few days rest fom it. Have now re-read the book which gave me the idea in the first place, in fact only finished it a short while ago, the ideas are now a lot clearer.

I intend to try it again later, if not today then tomorrow, in fact having not long had my tea, it will be tomorrow, as there is a TV Serial which I enjoy on a Sunday on a little later.

I did enjoy my tea tonight, I made a meal which I first came across in Holland just after my first wife left me nearly sixty years ago. It is very simple to do, two slices of Bread and butter, on the first place some slices of cooked ham, cover with the second slice of bread, add more ham, then on top put two poached eggs. Season to taste, this is really nice.

Decided to sort out some more books, then horror, came across a title identical to one that I had started last week, this new one was dated 2021. Did not panic, but realised that I needed to do some serious research on past books.

This I have spent the last few days doing, I now have a number of books in a separate file, these I have decided to check and complete before I do a lot more. This of course does not mean that I will ignore the new project as I really intend to make a go at it, and hopefully make it work.

The Next Few Days

The first priority will be to get to new grips with my new project, as a break I will be finding books that I have started to write, or finished gathering them together in one file, this will, hopefully keep them all together.

Doing this will take sometime as I have written and started a fair number of books over the years. I know must get a grip, or stop wandering and concentrate on one thing at a time.

What has surprised me is the different titles which I have started, all to do with the different websites that I have.

It is hoped that if my new project takes off, then this will be my main work from now on, promise I will not let myself be distracted.

Conclusion

An interesting week in many ways which has made me realise a number of things, these include:

  1. Wandering off the subject.
  2. Not finishing what I started.
  3. Failing to concentrate.
  4. Must learn to be able be switched on with everything that I do
  5. Work to a timetable or diary, or even just a daily to to list.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy,

Please do stay safe,

God Bless,

Stuart

Well hello VH

I like your list. I think many of us can relate to this list.

I like your new cover photo as well. Look at you up front and center!!!!

I didn't realize you had been married before. You must have been very young. That happens. I married very young as well and still haven't found anyone to get married to again. The first 20-30 years after my divorce, I said I'd never do it again then finally had a change of heart but all the good ones seem to be married so I have to assume, it's not meant to be.

Anyway, it sounds like even with the little snafus you had a good and pretty productive week. At least you're moving forward albeit slowly. One day at a time.

Tomorrow is the beginning of Lent AND Valentine's Day. Weird how they're the same day this year. Do you observe either of these? I'm not really a fan of Valentine's Day. I think it's just a commercialized holiday to make card, flower, restaurant and chocolate companies money. It's nice to be told randomly that you're loved not on a given day. That's my take anyway.

Well, I better get to bed. I have a lot to do tomorrow so you have a good rest of your week and take care of yourself.

Always
Your VW

Hi VW,

Good to hear from you as always.

I was 21 when I married the first time, still convinced it was a rebound from my previous relationship whom I was very fond, my ex wife just wanted to leave home, after five months she went back with another fella, nuff said. (As a total aside her third husband died recently!!)

Not totally surprised that you have not remarried, but do the guys realise what they are missing!!

The cover photo was when with my fellow Council Members we led the parade in Ypres, in front of an awful lot of standards, it was a very moving occasion. The Band was that of Her Majesty's Royal Marines, so you can guess how posh it was!

Gave up on Valentine's day a long time ago, as for Lent though I respect it I do not observe it.

Not really got going this week yet, but I will get there, did sit up until late last night putting a book together, I say book, have now decided to make it a manual, but we will see.

Must have another go at my new project idea before the week is out.

Have a great rest of the week and take good care of yourself.

While I remember.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

As always

Your VH

LOL. WHERE did the week go????? I'm hardly ever home anymore.

Anyway, I get it. The things that happen when we're young. My ex has been married 3 times -- 4 if you count marrrying me twice. lol He's back on the market again at the age of 72 dating a 30 year old. Sad really. If I'm meant to have someone in my life, he will come. I have a full life with many friends young, old, male, female. Most are married but it's ok. I always say I don't NEED a man in my life but it would be nice to have one....like icing on cake. lol

Thank you for the Valentine wishes. Funny. I randomly got a Valentine from someone. There was no return address. It looks like a child's handwriting and it says: Happy Valentine's Day. God loves you with hearts. So cute. It made me smile.

I do like that cover photo. You all look so "official" and polished. If your Marines are like ours, they are simply the classiest! They get things DONE! You seem to have that spirit and I love it! Don't ever lose that.

Well, I must go run some errands...tax time for us...and sore subject. So, you have a Happy Belated Valentines Day as well and a great weekend.

Always
Your VW

Just going to bed so will reply properly tomorrow.

Thank you for your Valentine's wishes.

Good night and God Bless

Hi VW,

Cannot quite believe that it is 9pm, not quite sure just where the day has gone to.

Due to more pain at 7am, managed to go back to sleep until 9.30, this of course completely put the planned activities totally out of line. It was my intention to start this first thing this morning, but the best laid plans of mice and men!!

Talk about glutton for punishment, marrying the same man twice!! I am only surprised, but you have to follow your heart, so I am told.

At least you have a full life now, and I assume are fairly happy,

Strange that it should be your tax time, had my assessment today, so not a happy bunny, you work hard and get punished!!

Will guve you the rest of the news when I do my blog at the weekend.

Take care,

Have a great weekend.

Goodnight and God Bless.

As always

Your VH.

Stuart, to err is human and you just describe a situation many of us faced. That is why motivation is a huge industry. We can encourage each other. Take a break, recharged and then spring forward with zest !

Many thanks for your comments Stanley.

Ah, yes, it's often difficult to stay focused on one project at a time. Good luck! I am having a similar problem.

At times it becomes a nightmare.

I think we all deal with scattered thoughts.

I think that I am just scatty. lol.

I feel your frustration Stuart.
I keep a card index box and I write myself reminders of projects and future ideas as I think of them. It is definitely not anorganised system but I know that the ideas are all in one place for when I need to sift through them.
Keep healthy old chum.
Bux

I need to do this also

It works Kathie. My system is far from organised but it is a common dumping ground for ideas. Also, I use an A4 folder with plastic pockets. Any pages I see in magazines, or print off, they go into the plastic pockets waiting to be actioned - but all in one place.
Wishing you success
Bux

Good idea Bux, have started mine on the PC.

Take care mate.

Stuart

Whatever works Stuart. I found that physical cards suited me better. I didn’t need the PC on, and it was quick to reference them.
Good luck my friend.
Bux

With my arthritus I sometimes struggle to write, but I did start to use cards at onetime, now I use them for notes!
Taks care,
Stuart
