Introduction

Good Evening to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well.

In many ways it has been a much better week, I am still very tired but expect it will take time to get my body back to normal. This is one of the reasons for booking another holiday, the details I will reveal later.

The Last Few Days

The news of the week has to be the fact that my lovely Renault Scenic at fourteen years old has passed her MoT, as you can imagine that was a great wiegh off my mind, and a much happier bank account!!

I have been thinking about another holiday for a while, it seems to far away to June, and I really do need a break now. As a result I have booked to go to Bournemouth in April, only four nights, but the beach has over seven miles of sandy beach. Can visualise lots of walking.

I bought a new sat nav yesterday as mine has all but given up the ghost, as I am going on two trips, thought, that thou I know how to get there, do not know the exact location of the Hotels that I am staying at. Do know that the one in Bournemouth is on the seafront. Sounds like a brisk walk on the front before breakfast could be a plan!

Sent off some orders of service to family who are either too far away or not in good health, one phoned last night delighted to see all the photographs, which brougt back many memories.

On a personal note, I picked up Yvonne's ashes this week, they will stay in the spare bedroom, that was once the guest bedroom, until I feel able to scatter them on Sammy's grave.

Thanks to the weather I have been able to spend some time in the garden, today I had two hours this morning, and well over an hour this afternoon. At the moment I have managed to fill the two compost bins, that were emptied on Friday, ready for collection in a fortnight, also started to fill a black bag.

I had forgotten just how many nooks and crannies there are in the garden, as a result there are now several areas which are looking much better, the one problem that I have found is as I cut back areas it reveals even more weeds, overgrown brambles and ivy, not forgetting pots long forgotten.

In some ways the pots are a bonus, I will need them when I buy the shrubs which I want for my new display, as there are a number of really large ones.

While I was in Garden I noticed a number of primulas which have seeded themselves in some areas of rubbish, but they look lovely, a lovely yellow. This reminds me of a conversation that I had with Yvonne before she was taken poorly, I have a number of tubs with primulas in, we decided to move them to the border opposite the kitchen window, must try to do this, just for Yvonne.

I had a pleasant evening on Thursday, as the local British Legion Representative to the local Air Training Corps, I was able to present certificates of Affiliation to the two Branches of which I am a member.

The Next Few Days

At the moment I am not too sure what I intend to do, apart from the garden, I do have a lot of sorting out to do. On Friday I have been invited to the Chairman of the local Councils' Annual Dinner. Have checked that my Dinner Jacket still fits!!

The menu is very good, I am really looking forward to it, especially seeing old contacts, have booked a taxi, as I do not drink and drive!!

Need to spend sometime looking at the garden catalogues so that I can decide which shrubs to buy.

Think that will do for now. as I am ready for my evening meal.

Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy.

Please stay safe,

Take care,

God Bless

Stuart

Hello Stuart. Great news about your lovely Renault Scenic passing the MOT. I can well relate to what a weight off your shoulders that is.

You are doing well in the garden. We have a few lovely clumps of primulas in our garden too. I love looking at them.

It's not surprising that it takes a while for your body to recover. A holiday in Bournemouth sounds like just the thing that'll do you good. I still have nice memories of staying in a hotel at the seafront in Bournemouth when our children were small.

Wishing you a great week and an enjoyable dinner on Friday.

Greetings from the Cotswolds,
Isabella

Hi Isabella,

We had a great holiday in Bournemouth many years ago, after I had a baby stroke, we were lucky did not book, but got in at the Palm Court, Yvonne remarked that it was the first time that I had taken her to s really nice hotel!!

The primula clumps do brighten up a rather dismal area.

Have a great week.

From another lovely part of the country, South Derbyshire.

Take care,

Stuart
