A Little Confused
Introduction
Good Evening to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping safe and well.
A huge thank you for all your lovely comments regarding my discussing Yvonne's illness, it is so gratifying to have so much support at this time.
The Lats Few Days
The title is a result of a meeting with the Doctor on Wednesday when he brought us more up to date.... I think?
After he gave his spiel, I asjed about the tumour, to which he said " She does not have one at the moment!", did forget to ask about the blood clots, but will do that tomorrow, as when I spoke to the Sister today she said that she would arrange to have the consultant speak to me.
Hopefully this will give me a better idea what is going on. To put it mildly the cancer is really getting a grip now, having destroyed her right cheek bone. She still has her sense of humour thou, after the Doctor had gone, she just said "They told us all that last time", in other words what is new.
They did discuss what we would need to do before she could come home. Think that it might be a few days yet, as they have to get her strength back up, amongst other things.
The Next Few Days
Quite honestly I am not sure what is happening, do know that I an very tired spending some five hours daily driving for between two and three hours, then spending some two hours at Yvonne's bedside, this can be hard as we do not always know what to say.
Have seen some good signs that she is drinking quite well .....NO NOT GIN...lol, it also appears that she is at last eating a little more, that is a good sign. (That is a little joke, as for a non drinker she has recently taken to having the odd can of Gin Mixer.)
Still not sure what I am going to be doing, it is certainly a matter of taking one day at a time, apart from keeping the washing up to date, and the ironing, do what I can with regard to using the vacuum. Have done the Bathroom today, Kitchen tomorrow.
Must find time to do some dusting this week!!
Any thoughts about the business are very much of the I have a minute what shall I do, but I am certainly looking at what can be done as I drive to and from the hospital. Just short of time to do what I come up with!!
Must just be grateful that she is still with us.
Conclusion
Think that I have covered just about everything for this week, you will notice that the garden has not been mentioned, do so hope that I can spend just few moments in there this week, as it does do me good.
Forgive more this week, as you will appreciate news is a little one-sided this week.
Be Happy, Wealthy and Healthy,
Please do stay safe,
God Bless
Stuart

Well VH, I understand why you're confused. I would be too.
That is a lot of driving you're doing then spending another 2 hrs with Yvonne. While that is admirable, it may be too much if you're trying to keep up with the house as well. Keep in mind, the house and dust are not going anywhere. Laundry? Well, you might have to do that. I think it's illegal no matter what country you're in to go out and about without clothes. lol
Do only what absolutely NEEDS to be done and make sure you're getting rest. Forget WA business all together! If she comes home soon, you don't want to be sick yourself. You'll be no good to anyone.
Ok, I'm done with the lecture. Just get some relaxation in.

Hi VW,
You are truly wonderful, an early reply, which has cheered me up no end, as well as some very sensible comments.
I Love the bit about no clothes, it is too chilly even for me at the moment. lol.
Regarding the housework, I should explain that before Yvonne comes home they will visit the house to see what care package is needed, such as safety rails by the steps and so on.
So I need to make sure that it is fairly decent.
Just got my weekly washing in, have to stop this being totally organised, who am I kidding!!
Have a great week and take care.
As always,
Your VH
Actually, them coming over to visit the house is encouraging. They did that for my MIL years ago when she had surgery. By them surveying the house, it would tell me that they are not preparing for end of life but something longer. That's a positive step.
LOL. You do sound like me vs my MIL. She didn't ever care what the house looked like really. However, you only have 24 hrs in the day and at least 8 should be sleep!!!
Ok, will keep you in prayers and please continue to stay clothed. I don't have bail money. π€£

Have just seen this, been a little busy, as I have had to turn the dining room into a hospital ward.
The bed and cammode arrive tomorrow, hopefully followed by Yvonne in a few days time.
Do think that they are letting her out to early, but we will see.
They have not visited but are happy to take my word that things will fit, hope that they are right!!
Were due to move her to the discharge hospital today for final checks, but did not have a bed for her, so she has had to stop where she is for now.
Did ask some questions as she was in a chair, but have assured that she will have a bed tonight!!
Nearly bedtime.
Take care,
Goodnight and God Bless,
Your VH
Hi Stuart
You can only do so much in the day with all that is going on.
Do what you can and need but don't push yourself too hard as you need to take care of yourself as well as Yvonne.
Sending thoughts and healing to both Yvonne and yourself.
Take care

Hello Stuart,
I admire your intentions and dedication to keep everything in order, under the strain of what you and your wife are dealing with.
It takes resilience to find the strength, to keep pushing on and you are doing your best I know.
I hope you can enjoy your garden for a while, that is a must.
As far as WA, you enjoy building your business and have a sense of drive and passion, that is part of creating something special.
Even if you give it 10 minutes of your time first thing in the morning, then set out the rest of your day.
Also, a day to mix with your friends could be on the agenda.
Wishing you and your Yvonne the best of health and happiness.
Kind regards
Erica
Hi Erica,
So good to hear from you, such a lot of common sense, with some great ideas.
Am trying to get some time with friends sorted out which is a great idea.
Have a great week.
Take care,
Stuart
Thanks, Stuart, I always enjoy hearing from you in your blogs.
Yes that is a great idea to have some time with friends, I hope it happens soon.
Take good care too :)
Erica
Hi Erica,
It did tonight at an SGM for the County Cricket Team.
Did me the world of good.
Look after yourself :)
Stuart
That is excellent Stuart :)
A good yarn and mingle with friends does work for sure.
Now you can refresh some ideas you may have discussed.
I been decluttering all day, reducing my belongings is hard but necessary for my space is limited.
Take care too :)
Erica
Hi Erica,
Just had the best night's sleep in ages, in fact slept in, as I did not wake up until an hour past my normal time for going dowstairs.
Wish that I had time to declutter, at the moment anything that I ned to move goes in the spare bedroom, at what time it was the guest bedroom!!
God Bles :)

Hello Stuart,
I am so glad you had a solid sleep, which is always beneficial.
Yes, I only have 2 rooms that I live in with everything all compact and it does get somewhat cluttered sometimes.
I needed to address it because it always kept my mind down when I was looking at too many things.
I made a solid improvement over the last two days thankfully.
You are right it takes time to do it though, because it is quite a daunting project.
God bless you and your wife too
Erica
Hi Erica,
Having to move things about as it would appear that Yvonne could be home in a couple of days, so the dining room is now being turned into a hospital ward, the bed and other bits due to arrive tomorrow.
Still it will be good to have her home again.
Must dash.
Take care,
Stuart
Hello Stuart,
This is great news, I am glad Yvonne will be home soon.
It is good you have space to put the bed and other equipment she needs. It will feel much better for her to be in her own environment again with you.
Wishing you both good health.
Erica
