Well, I am not an expert on computers, let alone the in's and out's of the internet. But, I have always wanted to start my own business even while I was a kid. The desire grew even more while working part time for a boss who showed little to no compassion to his employees. I'm not saying that all managers show little compassion, it only opened the probability for me that I may one day work for a rude employer as an adult.

While going to college was fun, and I learned a lot, the realization of working for a company was slowly coming to my mind. The thoughts of having to wake up at a certain time, and doing the duties of whatever job I get always bothered me. It bothered me because I did not want to be like the majority to get a job, and follow this "rat-race." I did not want to be...well, like a slave in that sense (not that all people feel like they are slaves while working, just that I do). I wanted to be free to do my own thing, and to work on my own.

I did a lot of research to see if I can be self employed. I found plenty of "get-rich-quick" schemes, a few "too-good-to-be-true" promotions that weren't actually true, and a lot of scams. I soon stumbled on the idea of internet marketing, but most specifically affiliate marketing. I researched it, and saw that it is actually legit, and that if you do decide to follow the affiliate marketing path, you must really put some work into it. The thing that appealed to me, however, was the fact that I get to work at home. Manage my own time. Do what I want in my free time. No boss.

So I found this program, Wealthy Affiliate, and decided to give it a try by signing up for the the free trial. I was impressed with training that was given, and how easy it was to understand. It made me think I can really do this, and be successful at it. In the end, I became a premium member, because I was sold on the program and the community. I am continuing on with high hopes that I can make a living off of this career path, with the help of WA.
