“I am capable of more than I realize.”
Have you ever heard this quote:
My first thought about this was…
“Bold claim. Very optimistic. Who told you that?”
Because if you’d asked me a while ago what I was capable of, I’d have said things like:
– Making coffee too strong
– Googling answers instead of trusting myself
– And convincing myself I wasn’t “techy enough” to build an online business
Yet… here we are.
See, I used to think successful online entrepreneurs were some special breed.
You know the type.
People who wake up at 5am, speak fluent algorithms, and casually say things like “Just scale it.”
Meanwhile, I was over here Googling, “What is a domain?”
Then I joined Wealthy Affiliate, and something strange happened.
I didn’t suddenly become a genius…
But I started realizing—oh—I can actually do this.
Step by step. Lesson by lesson. Mistake by mistake.
And trust me, there were mistakes (and still will be).
But every small win
writing a post,
setting up a site,
it proved the quote right.
I was capable of more than I realized.
Not because I became someone else…
But because I finally gave myself the tools, the training, and the environment to grow.
And that’s the funny thing.
Most of us aren’t stuck because we can’t.
We’re stuck because we think we can’t.
So now, whenever doubt creeps in
and yes, it still does
I remind myself:
If I can build an online business with Wealthy Affiliate…
If I can learn skills I once thought were “not for me”…
Then maybe, just maybe,
I really am capable of more than I realize.
Turns out that quote wasn’t bragging after all.

Great reasoning Peter! Strong coffee - Check; Google searches - Check; and I too questioned my techiness (new word). 🤣😂🤣 Within reason, our limits are defined by our minds. And yes, we can achieve more than we think. Congrats on taking that leap of faith.

Thanks so much! That means a lot.
I’ve learned that most limits are self-imposed, and taking that first step really changes how you see what’s possible.
Often times, the things that we do, say or build that seem “normal” to us, actually seem “miraculous” to others.
We do, and the community here certainly helps us boost that belief when we might not be feeling it ourselves.

You are capable of anything that you set your mind to Peter, and I truly believe that (for myself and others). There will be growing pains, and there will be successes along the way. But forward movement will always lead to newfound growth, and higher peaks than the last one!
Thanks Kyle.
Sometimes the frustration and growing pains get you down, but they all achieve the goals we want in the end.
