Ideas Wanted: What Would You Do with a Domain for Planners?
Hi WA friends,
I’m hoping to tap into the wisdom of the WA community.
I currently own a domain for planners and have created several planners that are available on Amazon. While the project didn’t take off as I hoped, I still believe there’s strong potential in the name and concept, especially with the growing interest in productivity tools, digital products, and self-improvement niches. My reasoning behind this is that I am refocusing my time and attention to a select number of projects. I have too many and my time is pulled in too many directions.
I’ve thought about possibly selling the domain or packaging the brand for someone else to run with…
But I’m also wondering if I might be overlooking a smarter opportunity.
So I’d love your thoughts on:
- Other ways I might monetize the domain and planner assets
- Creative strategies to revive or repurpose the brand
- Whether you think it’s worth trying to market/sell, and if so, how
- Or… anything else that comes to mind!
What would you do with a brand and domain like this if you were in my shoes?

One thing hurting is the 3 buttons on the front page do not work, this will get you penalized in search meaning less traffic plus make site navigation a nightmare.
I also noticed that on your books page you have a bare AMAZON Link, no required disclaimer, and a couple of images but no review or article showing people why not only should they buy a book but buy through you.
The disclaimer is there I changed themes last few days and for some reason it’s not showing up under this new theme , yes I need to certainly work on that ! Great point I have too many projects currently working on and seems that cannot get to everything. But will work on ensuring the disclaimer shows up , it’s been on every page of footer , thanks for finding that.

Which platform are you using for your shop? If it is WoocCommerce it is easy to add a plugin to build your own affiliate program or really do the Affiliates and yourself a favor and integrate iDev Affiliate.
The problem with retail online is that if it's just you it can cost a fortune to build your brand and gain trust but with a fleet of affiliates you can turn your advertising dollars into guaranteed sales. iDev is the more expensive route but the program has benefits like robust reporting and communication channels for managing your affiliates
I wish you luck with all of this. You might also look at RightBlogger which has 80+ tools for blogging and marketing your business and products.

Is there a passion or reason for selling your own planners because affiliate marketing has less headaches and hassles. For example the companies already offering planners are bigger, their brands are established, they have whole teams working customer service and can decrease the number of chargebacks. Their sales teams optimize every listing and all you have to do is solve problems of the people who need these planners and your business can be as much as 95% profit.
I love planners , probably my main issue is when I changed from my established company if 20 years I had no idea what I wanted to do , so I jumped into mega projects and now I have a bunch of mega projects - I am trying to cull some of these and narrow it down. I have too large interest from planners to writing to genealogy , trying to narrow it down so that I am not overwhelmed.
I understand. My main site is a social network which eats a ton of time followed by blogs on affiliate marketing, Man Caves, Getting Paid to get Healthy, and then I do WordPress Design on the side so a lot of unfinished potential due to project overload.
