Something learned - something valued
My drive home from work (I mean Just Over Broke :) ) I like to listen to audio books, mainly in the personal development field in my attempt to improve my lot and also to get great content to review for my niche :)
Yesterday I heard a great piece of advice that I wanted to share.
Only a single grain of sand can pass through the narrow part of an hourglass. You can only do one thing at a time. Well, you can do more than one thing, but you will be doing them all badly. Multi-tasking is dead (to quote Graham Allcott in "how to be a productivity ninja).
Clearly there are connotations when thinking about building up our websites. I mean, how many times have you thought about creating that page, and I need to tweak this, and I must share that post on google +.
But for me it meant so much more. I spend my life trying to get so much done that I probably get very little done. When too many grains of sand try to get through the narrow part of the hourglass at one, there is a blockage. I've been off work today (non working day for me) but have been really busy. But today I have felt better about it all. I have got things done, and I still feel pretty good.
If you are stressing over what to do next - do the next chore. Do what's in front of you. Don't do anything else. Do what you are doing well!

Thanks Paul, this is some really great advice, I think a lot of people need to read this! There certainly will be a blockage in that hour glass if your try to add too many grains of sand at the same time :) One step at a time right? Best wishes.
